Eleven p.o.v
"So Jane, are you friends with Mike?" Isabella asked as soon as Mike was out of sight.
"That's obvious isn't it?" I asked looking at her
"Yeah you guys look like really good friends, hopefully we can get along just as well" She said smiling. A fake smile.
"We will see about that" I gave a smile looking around for Max.
"Mike is really nice" She mention.
"Yeah he is good" I said.
"He is so sweet and caring. I'm glad I made a friend like him" she said.
"Friends?" I asked looking at Max talking to Will.
"Yeah. I think we make a great team don't you?" She asked smirking.
"No not really" I answer honestly.
"You don't have a problem?" she asked.
"With what?" I asked.
"Mike and I being friends" she said.
"No of course not. He can make as many friends as he wants"I said.
"Well that's great. Are you guys best friends?" She asked.
"What's with all these questions?" I asked looking at her irritated.
"I just want to get to know you more. Since Mike is my friend and it looks like Mike cares about you. I want to be your friend Jane" she said.
"Yeah well pressuring people to do so doesn't make them want to be your friend" I stated matter of fact.
"I'm just trying to get to know you more that's all" she said.
"Well maybe you shouldn't" I said.
"Bella you want cake?" Mike asked from the kitchen.
EXCUSE ME!! Im right here!
"Yeah please. I would love some" she said bubbly.
"Okay" He said and came back with two plates.
"Here" he handed her one.
"And we can share this one El" Mike said taking a bite of the cake.
He handed it to me.
"It's good, try it" He said. I took a bite and I feel in love.
"Better than eggos?" He whispered in my ear. I nodded blushing.
I saw Isabella tighten her fist and looking at Mike with... what's it call? I always forget the word..
"So Mike, what time is the Science Fair?" She asked.
"8 am" He said.
"El you're coming right?" He whisper.
"Well you didn't ask me" I whisper back.
"Well I don't have to silly. It's like asking Max if she wants to hang out with us. You just assume she knows because she is a part of us know. Of our group" he said.
"If you want me there, I'll be there" I said looking down at my lap.
"Of course I want you there. You are my lucky charm" he said nudging me.
"Kiddos, we need to get going, it's getting pretty late" Hopper said and I got up instantly.
"I'll walk you" Mike said grabbing my hand.
"Max you sleeping over?" I asked.
"Well I was kinda hoping" she said laughing and I smiled. Everybody was out the door in seconds.
"See you tomorrow El" Mike said hugging me and kissing my forehead.
"See you tomorrow Mike" I whisper and walking to the car.
"Girl spill..." Max asked as soon as I got in the car.
"Not here" I said looking at Will.
"Okay" She said.
After we dropped Will at Joyce( because her car was too small to fit Will in) we went home. Hopper said goodnight and went to bed.
"GO!" Max said bouncing on my bed.
"Mike likes Isabella" I said slowly and Max jaw dropped.
"He what!???" She exclaimed.
"Likes Isa—" I began.
"I know what you said. How do you know? Did he tell you?" She asked shocked
"No, but I know. His smile. That's how I know" I said.
"His smile" she laughed.
"I know him too well. It's the smile he gives me. He doesn't give you that smile or Dustin or Lucas or Will" I said irritated.
"Okay explain yourself" she said.
"He smiled at her like she was his whole world" I said.
"No way! ONE DAY!!! She has been here one day! She just started school and that witch is doing it again" she said.
"Again?" I asked confused.
"I know her El. She use to be friends with my best friend back California" she explain.
"She stole my friend's boyfriend" she explain.
"And you are telling me now???" I asked.
"Well I didn't want to freak you out!" She said.
"Great so she is gonna steal Mike" I said.
"He is different. My friend's boyfriend was a fuckboy" she explain.
"Fuckboy?" I asked.
"It's a guy who goes from girl to girl, not caring about their feelings" she explain.
"Isabella happened to be his next victim. He hurt her really bad, I think that's why she moved" she explain.
"She moved states for a boy. That's stupid" I said.
"She truly loved him and he broke her heart. She thought she had changed him. But don't all girls think that" she stated.
"I don't know" I said.
"Good" She said.
"Don't worry maybe she is shocked My how nice mike is. Different from Aiden. Mike is caring and kind. Maybe she likes his personality" she states.
"BUT HE LIKES HERRRRRRR" I whine.
"I think you are just jealous" Max stated.
"Jealous?" I asked.
"It's when a person gets this fire sensation inside their chest when they see their crush or the person they like with someone else. It's what you felt when you first saw Mike and I" she explain.
"I'm jealous" I repeated.
"Yes" She said smiling.
"No Max, trust me this is different. She likes him I know that for a fact. She is.. what's the word?" I asked Max.
"Flirty?" She said unsure.
"Yes Yes, She is flirting with him. Punching him playfully, placing her head on his shoulder, touching him. It makes me sick!!" I said anger evident in my voice.
"Then show her that Mike is out of the market, that she can't have him" Max said confidently.
"How?" I asked.
"Let her know that he is already taken" she said making kissing noises and winking at me.
"You want me to kiss Mike?" I asked.
"Well yeah, that's as clear as the water" she said.
"But we haven't kissed since the Snowball last year" I said.
"Are you kidding me!???" I said laughing at my confession
"No, we haven't kissed" I said.
"Well then it's about time" she said laying down on my bed.
"Don't worry El, whatever happens, happens. They happen for a reason" she said snuggling into my pillow.
"You're right, thank you Max. Goodnight!" I said turning off the light and climbing in bed with her.
"Goodnight El" she said yawning.
"Thank you for being the sister I never had" she finished.
"No thank you" I whisper back and with that silence follow and we were soon fast asleep.

Max and I got up at 7 and ate breakfast, put some fresh clothe on and had dad drop us off at school.
"The science fiat is so nerdy" Max laughed as we made our way through the projects.
"Yet we have all of our friends competing to win, yet again" Max chuckled.
"Who wants normal anyway, it's boring" I said.
"Hey guys" Max said once we spotted our group of nerds.
"Hey" Will said.
"What are you guys doing?" Max asked.
"Some finishing touches to our baby" Dustin said.
"Baby?" Max asked.
"We created it" Lucas stated.
"Oh well congrats, what's it name?" Max asked
"Scarlet" Dustin said proudly.
"You Guys are ridiculous" Max laughed.
"Where is Mike?" I asked.
"Oh he should be here any minute with Bella. He picked her up, maybe that's why it's taking him a little longer. You know girls and always being late" Dustin said.
"We're here" Max and I said in unison defensively.
"Wow wow wow, calm you're horses ladies, I was just saying" he said.
"Don't generalize" I said.
"Yes it's like saying that all guys are dickheads" Max said.
"Okay okay I get it jeez" Dustin said.
"So what? Is Mike bringing Bella to school a thing now?" Max asked.
"I don't know" Lucas said
"She is cute, maybe I'll have a chance. Mike could be my wingman" Dustin said.
"She is not that cute" Max and I whispered.
"What's up with you two today, did ur brains accidentally connect with each other" Lucas asked.
"Nooo" we both said.
"Creepy" Dustin said.
"Oh would you look at that, if it isn't Mike and Isabella" Max whisper.
"She is so dressed up for a school event" Max mention
"And a lot of make up" I finished.
"Whatever floats her boat" she said.
"MIKE DUDE LETS GOOOO!" Will yelled grabbing his arm and pulling him to their station. He walked pass me not even looking at me. His face was really red. I then looked at Bella and she too was very red looking down at her hands, smiling at herself.
Okay something happened
"Max?" I asked her.
"Yes El, I see it too." She said.
"You don't think they..." I said.
"I don't know" Max said.
"Friends don't lie, Max" I said.
"Okay, maybe they kissed" she said slowly and carefully.
"Yeah I think so too" I said clenching my fist and walking out the room.
"WAIT EL" Max said running after me.
"I TOLD YOU!!" I yelled once we were in the restroom.
"You gotta calm down and then you have to talk to him. You gotta ask him what happen, his feelings" she reasoned.
"That's the thing, I'm afraid I already know the answer" I said looking down.
"And I don't like it" I said looking at her.
"Just ask, please. And if it goes wrong I'll be here to kick his ass" She said.
"Makes me feel slightly better" I said chuckling.
"Now lets go and support the boys" she said grabbing my arm.
The Science Fair was really boring. Max and I might have fallen asleep at some point during the fair but woke up. The boys won like expected.
"GOOD JOB GUYS" Max said as we made our way to the crowd of people.
The boys were there, all celebrating, smiling. I saw Mike and Isabella, but they were hugging each other.
"Oh shit" Max said looking at me.
"Mike" I said looking at him. He pulled away from Isabella quickly.
"El" he said smiling at me.
"We need to talk" I said.
"Okay" He said pushing pass Dustin and Lucas.
"Let's go" I said grabbing is arm harshly. I walked quickly down the hall and into a closet.
"Hey El slow down" he said as I liked the door.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"El, I don't understand" he said looking at me.
"Okay let me be more clear. Do you like her?" I said looking at him in the eyes.
"Who—" he said
"Don't play dumb, Mike" I said slightly upset.
"El... I... I...I-do" he said looking down.
"Okay" I whispered opening the  door and walking out.
"El please just hear me out" he said catching up to me.
"No no no, it's fine Mike. You don't have to explain. I get it" I said walking towards the exit of the school.
"I know you're hurt, don't try to hide it, I know you" He said.
"I'm fine Mike, just leave me alone. Go talk to Isabella, not like you will miss me much anyways" I said angrily.
"No we are gonna talk, you said you wanted that, right so we are" He said.
"Okay then I don't want to talk anymore. I'm done. That's all I needed to know" I said.
"El you don't need to act tough around me" he said.
"No, I don't but I don't want to see you. Just leave me alone. You like her Mike and I said it was fine, so why don't you just leave" I said walking faster.
"Slow down and let me explain" he said but I just kept walking faster not bothering to answer anymore.
"ELEVEN" Mike yelled grabbing my arm.
"Listen to me" he said turning me to face him.
"I didn't want this to happen. I know you think I'm crazy, but she-she is just so—" he said.
"Pretty" I finished looking down.
"Wh-what?" He asked confused.
"I get it Mike no need to explain" I said.
"Hey Hey, no, no, El, it's not that. You are pretty. I'm not—"  he began.
"Friends don't lie!" I yelled yanking my arm off his hold.
"El I'm not lying" Mike said.
"It's fine Mike, go to her I'll be fineeeeee. It was gonna happen, I'm not normal, I'm different. You deserve better, you deserve happiness, and if that isn't me, I'm suppose to let you go." I said my heart aching but my eyes revealed nothing.
"It's not you, you are perfect" he said
"But not perfect enough" I said coldly.
"Mike just promise me one thing, for your own good" I said.
"Okay, I promise" He said looking at me.
"Promise you will stay away from me, not talk to me, act like I don't exist, like we never met, like you never found me in the woods, like we were never friends" I said looking at him.
"El you can't do that—" he said sadly.
"My name is Jane" I said looking at him for the last time before feeling Max coming downstairs.
"El?" Max asked approaching us
"I wanna go home Max, let's go!" I said looking at her quickly.
"Of course, I'm sure Lucas won't mind me 'borrowing' his bike" She walking to his bike.
"I'm sure he won't" I said hopping on the bike.
"Go please just go!" I said my voice breaking.
"I'm here El, you're my sister" she said.
"And I'm yours" I said tears running down.
"Goodbye Mike" I said.
