Ok, I just want to explain Cate's and Rob's relationship. He is a close family friend. He's 20, and she's 17. She was scared of him, because when she was in 8th grade (when she was 14, and he was 17). His girlfriend at the time, she came over to her school to take her home. (Name is Emma) Emma got pissed at Rob and Cate, because supposedly he told her that he was dating Cate. Soon, all of Rob's exes came over and humiliated Cate.
Whore, bitch, skank, hooker, all those insults threw around all, directed to poor little 14 year old Caitlyne. Rob had also impregnated Emma soon after this incident. He then confessed his undying love for Cate, after Emma had the baby she left.
Cate lived with her parents, who right before the incident. Went out of town, so he was in charge of her until then.
