I loser-love you // Richie X Eddie

You're..leaving?

Eddie and Richie were cuddling together, watching Ghostbusters and The Goonies. They were happy, but something was biting at Richie's mind that he needed to tell Eddie. 

"Hey... Eds?" Shit. Richie thought as he heard his voice waver.

"Yeah Rich? What's wrong..?" The small boy said, worry lacing his voice.

"I.." Richie paused, sighing. "I need to tell you something." The tall boy said. Eddie looked up, his eyebrows furrowed with worry and curiosity.

"I.. I'm moving." Richie looked into Eddie's eyes, which were now filling with tears.

"R-Richie you're joking.. right?" The desperation  was clear in Eddie's voice, trying to convince himself it wasn't true. Richie looked down as he shook his head.

"I wish I were.." He mumbled.

"R-Richie. y-you can't do this to me!!" Eddie cried, hugging the older boy, clinging onto him as if he believed that if he let go Richie would be gone forever. By now, Richie was in tears as well.

"Eds, I-I' sorry, my parents are making me!" Richie's voice cracked with hurt seeing his Eddie like this. He didn't want himself to leave either. He wanted to stay ere forever with Eddie, and cuddle and love him forever.

"Fuck your parents Richie! I.. I need you!" Eddie cried, shattering Richie's heart with words.

"Eddie please be strong for me. This is my last night here." Richie choked out through tears. The room was no longer filled with love and cuddling, but sadness and desperation.

"Rich why didn't you tell me s-sooner?!" Eddie cried, his voice cracking with emotion.

"I-I don'y know Eds.. I guess I didn't want to-"

"To what, hurt me!? Cause you did!"

"Eddie please! I know you'll miss me, hell, I'll miss you way more, but please, I need you to be strong." Richie's hands were on Eddie's cheeks, making the younger boy look at him. A short silence filled the room, broken by a sob from Eddie's mouth. Richie kissed the small boy, who kissed back. It wasn't full of passion, well, it was, but it didn't show. It more showed the sadness in the room, and the desperation Eddie had wanting Richie to stay.

"We can't be together anymore.. there's no way we'll be able to talk."

"Richie..no..!"

"Eddie I'm sorry... but I think it will just hurt us more if we're together but can't talk." Richie said, trying not to hurt Eddie anymore than he already. Eddie couldn't bring himself to look at him.

"Eddie promise me you'll be strong." Richie pleaded. Eddie knew he would break it if he promised, but did it anyways.

"I promise.." Eddie said. Richie could tell he tried to mean it, but knew that he couldn't. He hugged the small boy, who hugged back, and eventually fell asleep on him.

"I'll always love you Eddie." Richie mumbled as he fell asleep.
