'Are we not wise enough, to give all that we are'

I do not own any of Riverdale, only my characters

After my little joy ride with Wolfgang, he decided that he would show me his house and that we could get ready at his for Pop's throwback evening. Already I was cautious of his directions, because we were heading straight for the Southside.
We drove past old buildings, littered with spray paint, overflowing dumpsters and we'd pass a few Serpents here and there. But I was surprised at how he actually lived here, I thought he lived on the Northside, it seemed like it he did anyway.

"Park right here" he said extending his arm, his finger pointing to a vacant parking space. I swerved into it and looked outside, it wasn't a house, but an apartment complex. I frowned looking to him "are you messing with me?" I asked, he shook his head "no, this is my house- well apartment if we're being technical" he said with a shrug. He opened the door and stood from the car, I followed after him making sure to lock the car. We entered the small complex and walked up the smaller flight of stairs. It was only a two story complex, graffiti on the walls, thumping music, a few holes in doors, everything you would see in movies just before you got hit with baseball bats.

He lead me down a hallway before stopping in front of a dark door. He slipped a key from his pocket and unlocked the door, he opened the door and let me go inside first. I pursed my lips, stepping over the threshold.
I was surprised once seeing the inside. It was a clean apartment, very small but cosy. To my right was the kitchen, the white cupboards and lime green countertops covered with appliances. I continued walking, the hard carpet underneath my heels making small crunching noises. In front of me was the lounge room, a cheap sofa and coffee table in the middle, a TV on top of the cabinet. I turned around seeing Wolfgang close the door, and lock it.

"Where are your parents?" I asked clasping my hands in front of me.

He turned around, meeting my eyes. He smirked taking two long strides closer to me, "they're still getting the rest of things from Phoenix" he explained with a lick of his lips. I nodded turning back around, a large window underneath the couch. I moved closer to the window, drawing back the yellow curtain and peering outside. Train tracks were underneath the window, rusted and abandoned for who knows how long.

"Your brother doesn't like me very much" Wolfgang said, I turned around as he stripped himself of his jacket, throwing himself onto the arm of the sofa. I pursed my lips letting go of the curtain "Marcus doesn't like anyone" I smirked leaning against the window. "He likes Cheryl Blossom, I overheard him talking with Reggie. He's taking her to the throwback thing tonight" he explained. I nodded, my lips pursed. I forgive Cheryl, I do, but the last thing I want is for her to tear my brother apart again.

"Does it bug you?" he asked with a small scrunch of his nose.

I sighed scratching the back of my neck, "not really, no" I said lying to him. His smirk grew wider "I know what she did to you" he said standing up from the couch, approaching me. He towered over me, his chest so close to mine. I had no control over myself, I couldn't stop my heart from pumping at the close proximity. "And if I was in your shoes, I would never forgive her" he said his long fingers touching my wrists, right where my scars were.

I couldn't say anything, my words were caught in my throat like a large lump.

"You're beautiful, Anna. Even with these scars. Never let anyone tell you, you aren't" he said backing away from me, and for what seemed like forever, I could finally breath.
