It was freezing cold, you could tell without thinking. Especially from your shivering body.

Your body was on what seemed to be a scratchy floor covered in nothing but the clothes on your back.

Your ears rang, but you didn't care, you just wanted to find out where you were.

Blinking your eyes open the first thing you recognized was how dark it was. No light anywhere to be seen.

How could you get anywhere without any light. Squinting, your pupils expanded and soon adjusted to the pitch darkness. Looking at your surroundings you recognized it as outside.

Wait, outside?

Looking down at your clothing, you only wore a long sleeved shirt and leggings, some converse for shoes.

Clenching your body into a ball you tried to conserve as much body heat as you could. As little as it was your body shook with agony.

You had heard that moving your body really helped with heat so with shaking arms you propped your body up. The road below you hurt your hands but at least it got you on your feet.

Once you were standing, you took around you, barren besides a street lamp half a block away.

Once your eyes relaxed to the light you saw a person standing underneath it. Maybe they could help you.

With chattering teeth you took several steps towards the figure, they just stood there staring at the opposite direction not moving a muscle. They looked as if they were awaiting your arrival.

Maybe it was a trap?

Taking small steps towards the stranger pain shot through your legs as you refused to let out a shriek. Crossing your arms over your chest you tried to regain body heat. You still didn't know how long you were out here. Maybe you didn't have anymore body heat.

It damn feels like it.

Rubbing your ice cold hands up and down your forearms you started to slowly walk over to the person. In your head you began a battle with yourself, if this was a trap why was it so easy.

Easy.
So easy.

Letting out a breath of realization fall from your lips you stopped in place.

"Not that easy."
You mumbled, watching as the street light flickered.

"Not fucking easy at all."
You let out a quiet dry laugh as you watched the light flicker once more as you turned at the ball of your feet. In front of you was a long road that lead to a park, a pond in the middle, with trees surrounding it.

A destination for you nonetheless.

You started not taking a look back once, shivering as you picked up your pace.

Your teeth clicked against once another as you took step after step, the air seeming to get even colder as you continued along your journey.

Curse you, Mother Nature.

Swallowing you realized a lump was in your throat. Your eyes started to water once a breeze drifted in, right on your body trying to guide you in the opposite direction.
