Chapter 22 - Suprisingly Protective

After the first night back into his manor, (Y/N) felt sort of . . . lonely? He wasn't sure why because he had just saw Ciel yesterday. Maybe it was the fact that they were a new couple, maybe that was why he missed Ciel so much.

"Good morning Young Tokki, did you sleep well?" Claude question while pouring his master's daily cup of morning tea along with starting to dress him.

(Y/N) nodded," yes I did, thank you for asking." He then smiled brightly, happy that things were going to get better from then and on. Claude smiled back, finishing dressing his master in a nice white outfit.

"You've received a letter this morning." Claude said. (Y/N) lifted his head up, looking interested.

"Did I? From who?"

"Lord Phantomhive wants to know if you'll take a walk with him in town. He called it a short picnic without thr blanket and food."

The bunny's face lightened up with a smile,"of course, I'd love that!"

After the hybrid and demon had finished their morning routine, the young Tokki gave some chores foe the servants to finish by the time he gets back, just to touch the place up a bit. Claude then called for a carriage and the two lovers were set to meet soon.

"Right here, (Y/N)!" Ciel called out from the top of the hill. The bunny had been looking for the other one for quite awhike and was happy that he finally did, running up to him with joy.

"Hi Ciel!" (Y/N) chirped, it wasn't in one of those high pitched, annoying ones like Elizabeth's. It was soft yet you could tell he was enjoying his time already.
The early smirked and pulled the younger one into a hug.

"You're so stupid, I thought you'd fall out of the carraige window when you were leaving me." Ciel remmbered the horrible sight of almost watching (Y/N) hit his head on concrete.

"Sorry about that, Claude saved me though so thank him."

Their attention was now turned to the butler who had only just now made it up the hill and also just realizing that everyone was looking at him.

". . ."

"Why are you starring at me?"

The couple let out a fit of chuckles, even Sebastian did at how naive Claude was.

"Is there something on my face?"

"Ciel, they're starting to stare at me..." (Y/N) whispered, tilting his head down to hid his face as they walked down the sidewalk. Ciel instantly caught eye with everyone who even dared glance, wondering why they could hate someone as great as (Y/N) was and only because he was an innocent hybrid.

"I know I know, maybe they'll stop soon. Just don't look up at them." The earl whispered back, walking closer to the bunny and wrapping an arm around him. (Y/N), not expecting that all of a sudden,'s face went red. He loved the feeling of being held by Ciel, it made him feel safer and calm but he would never think Ciel would do something like this in public.

"Sebastian, I order you to make sure this evening isn't ruined. Got it?"

Sebastian nodded and with his hand over his heart, bowed,"yes, my lord."

(Y/N) wasn't sure what the demon was doing but it instantly caused everyone to ignore him in seconds, they averted their attention away from him quickly. Some with horrified, cold faces and others with surprised, frightened ones. Whatever it was, the bunny was happy and now could enjoy a simple walk.

"I swear if I wasn't an earl I'd beat them all." Ciel suddenly bursted out of anger, once they had walked through his manor entrance.

"What are you talking about Young Lord?"

"The people of London! They don't know how to mind their bloody buisness!" He yelled, face getting a bit red as his eyebrows twitched. The bunny instantly realized he needed to calm the older one down before he got anymore stressed.

"Ciel, it's fine. They barley bothered me and Sebastian took care of it." He walked over close to the flaming earl.

"Yes, I know but I wanted you to have a good evening with me being good to you and doing a lot for you." Ciel sighed, taking his hat off and rubbing his temples.

"Ciel you did plenty! When you were holding me I felt safe and better, I was focused on you only. I did have a good evening, it was amazing. Dont get so stressed over the little things." (Y/N) smiled and grabbed Ciel's hand, rubbing the back of it to calm him down. The earl, now feeling calm, smiled before wrapping his arm around the bunny once more, pulling him against his chest.

"Yeah I did alright..." He blushed lightly.

"See?" The bunny laughed and hugged his short tempered boyfriend, rubbing his back lightly.

"Shall I make some tea for you two?" Sebastian offered.

"I coukd make lunch as well." Claude said. Ciel nodded.

"That would be nice thank you."

And at that they were off into the kitchen. The bunny pulled away and took the earl's coat off for him. Ciel then rolled up the sleeves to his long white button up and took his gloves off.

"You have a short temper." (Y/N) teased while sitting down on the couch, slouching with a nice sigh.

"You have to deal with it." Ciel chuckled and kissed the top of (Y/N)'s forehead before pushing his hat down over his face.

"Heyyy."
