A/N: hello guys, happy holidays! for the new year i'm going to try and publish at least biweekly or at the very least, monthly! so this one's in a strange format, kind of like warship my wreck which is a few chapters back. enjoy! check back soon for more stories!

jack didn't like new guys
but his crew, his good old crew,

they were off spending the treasure

that he deserved, that he had

earned.

so there he was, a warm july morning, recruiting

ignorant youngsters who wanted to taste the sea

but not drink it, they wanted to touch the ocean

but not feel it.
but what could jack

do?
he needed a crew, and, he guessed,

the youngsters needed
a life.
;
one lad,

eli,

he fancied jack

more than anyone ever had,
man or woman.
jack didn't mind, although he knew

most people wanted homosexuals dead.
while he didn't care, he still didn't

pay too much attention to the kid.

he didn't want to be killed, and he

didn't want to see eli killed either.

;
most nights, jack laid in his cabin

and wondered about the lad.

jack sparrow knew that something about eli

was familiar, special,
important.

;

'eli,'
jack purred behind the
small  boy, barely a man, not at all a pirate,
'where are you from, son?'
and then,
like some kind of magic,

eli was not eli when jack saw his eyes
and noticed the features
he had seen them in a girl

long ago

but no matter how long it was
he could never forget

elizabeth.
;
elizabeth sat in a chair,

her hair was long like it used to be

and she was just like he remembered
and to his surprise
she missed him.

he had been under the impression

no one wants to see

a rascal, a bastard, a pirate,

more than once if they can help it,

especially a lady,

a lady

from

port royale.

but she did.

and there she was,

his girl,

his special girl who had come

all this way, just for him.
;
'why'd you do it?'
he had to know.

one week, they hadn't spoken about it at all.

'i missed you,'
the pirate raised an eyebrow,

' but how? why?'
she took his hand,

caressed his dirty rings and played
with his leathery fingers,

'i heard you'd be at the port,

i heard you'd lost your crew,'
jack couldn't understand,
wouldn't,

' but why did you do that? '
she stood, pulled the pirate with her, kept him close,

' because. you're special. you taste like the sea.

you feel like the wind and you know

freedom. and i miss that.

i missed you.'
;
eli wasn't eli ever again.

jack was in love.

the treasure

didn't

matter

any more
he had his treasure -

she sailed the

sea with
him.
