Summary: Harry and Ariana remain friends after their breakup. Harry's been in relationships after Ariana while she hasn't, or so he thought.

The one where Harry is a little shocked to hear that Ariana's been in a secret relationship for a while now and is eager to know who the new guy is.

Harry applauds Niall from the side of the stage with the same enthusiasm as the crowd. He whistles and shouts for his good friend who he hasn't seen in a while due to conflicting schedules, but who would have known that Niall would surprise the iheartradio crowd with a performance– Harry surely didn't.

As Niall does his final bow, he blows kisses to the audience while making his way offstage. Harry meets Niall halfway and embraces him, refusing to let go until he was satisfied by the hug Niall hadn't returned yet.

Niall chuckles and swings his guitar aside so he can press himself closer to Harry who still hasn't let him go.

"That was sick!" Harry yells in his ear, shaking Niall who laughs loudly. "It's nice to see you too Harold." Niall yells as well, holding Harry around the shoulder while they made their way further backstage away from the loud noise.

"I have to go onstage soon." Harry sighs as he looks at Niall warily. "Drinks later?"

Niall's eyes light up again as he nods. Harry smiles at Niall and gives his arm a love tap. He drags his hand down along Niall's arm as he begins to walk away, until his fingers are holding onto Niall's in a tangled mess as they're an arm's-length away from each other.

"You two are adorable." Lou coos as she approaches the two young men with a large black bag in one hand and a bottle of water in the other. She hands the bottle to Harry and pulls Niall into a hug.

Harry stands aside and looks around the backstage area. The boxes, the black curtains, the wires– there were many. He spots his band starting to come in, some strangers file in as well. He spots Mitch first and sees him speaking happily to one of the strangers– Harry is somewhat surprised by the wide-spread smile as opposed to Mitch's usual resting expression. Harry hears Lou say to Niall, "I gotta fix this one's makeup.", and soon he's swept along to his band and is asked to sit in a makeshift chair that was the space between two monitors.

"You're starting to look shiny already." Lou mutters as she fishes out a large powder brush and dips it into some product that Harry holds in his hand. Harry takes a sip from his water and puts it down. "have you been following the skin care routine I gave you?"

"I have," Harry trailed off, "most of the time."

Lou shoots Harry a disappointed glare which causes Harry to raise his hand up in defense.

"Hey, to be fair I've been busy with tour stuff and promo. Can't blame me for forgetting sometimes."

"Busy or just lazy?"

"Don't know why you even bother Lou, none of that'll fix his ugly mug."

Harry and Lou look up at Mitch who stood nearby with his guitar hanging around his neck.

For someone with chosen moments when he speaks that was one hell of a statement, Harry thinks quietly to himself as he sticks his middle finger up at Mitch.

"That should be it." Lou says as she moves the brush away from Harry's face. "You're good to go."

Harry thanks Lou and stands up. He makes his way towards Mitch and gingerly picks up his own guitar that's waiting nearby and starts to tune it. At some point he playfully nudges Mitch, breaking his concentration which thoroughly annoys him.
