I am terrified, what would I do? I thought to myself, I tried to struggle but my captor was very strong.

'Stop struggling.'

The voice alone was enough to make me stay still. first, the owner of the voice is a woman and if sounds suprisenly familiar, I turned around imidately she loosened her hold on me and I came face to face with that creepy lady from before.

'You?'

'Yes me, and what do you think you are doing walking about? Trying to get yourself killed?' she yell whispered to me as we heard the door to Lord Drex's study open and close, we stayed still and held our breaths as we listened to the receding footfalls going the opposite direction from where we were.

'What is wrong with you?'
She asked angrily.

'Am sorry, I was trying to find the dark prince.'

'My dear, right now you should be running away from him and not trying to find him, the dark prince is the worst of your problems which is why I have to get you and your mate out of here as soon as possible.'

At the mention of my mate, I could feel my heart beat leap with joy and pleasure at the thought of laying my hungry eyes on him again, but my joy was short lived when I remembered the monster he is. When I thought of how I wanted nothing but love and got pain.

How I could have done anything for him, how I did all I could to please him but got hurt in return.

How I offered my heart to him in a gold platter but got it thrown back at me shattered beyond repair.

And how despite all that, my heart still skips a beat whenever I think about him, about my undying love for him, Alpha Adian... The monster who broke my heart.

I could not resist and I had to ask 'What about Adian? Is he okay?'

I saw her smile knowingly at my question but she still answered me though, with a smile on her face.

'He's waiting somewhere for you my dear, he's been searching for you and he's been behaving like a maniac since you were taken.'

'I don't want anything to do with him, he can go crazy for all I care, I didn't ask him to come here or to look for me, I can take care of myself.' I said trying to hide the smile that was trying to find its way to my face, but as usual, she saw right through me.

'Indeed, you can take good care of yourself, like you didn't almost get yourself killed right now.'

'Yeah whatever' I chidded, rolling my eyes at her sarcasm.

'It's time you forgive him and give him another chance, everything is not always the way it seems.'

'Why do you keep saying that?'

'I keep saying it because it's the truth, if you don't forgive him, you might regret that decision forever.'

I knew she was right, I had to forgive Adian but I really don't think I can go through hell again.

'So what now?'

'Now, we get you and your mate out of this horrible place before the prince notice your absence.'

'What prince?'

'Do I have to tell you everytime?'

'Oh... The dark prince.'

'Yes him, now follow me, I'll fill you in on all you need to know about him.'

We left the room we were currently in and walked into what seems like a secret passage way when she started;

'It all started when my brother Drex-'

'Wait, lord Drex is your brother?' OK I was not expecting that, at all.

'Yes he is.'

'Woah.. So you are like -'

'Keep quiet and don't interrupt me, I hate being interrupted when am talking.'

'Oh OK, go on please.'

'So, as I was saying, he decided that we should all be beneath him, we all took it like a joke, no one took him seriously... at first,
We began to notice the changes I his attitude and behavior, he stopped spending time with the family, always annoyed and moody, he also stopped drinking from the blood bags dad buys because we were not allowed to drink directly from humans but that's exactly what he started doing because it made him stronger and that makes people fear him.'

'You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, I don't have to know.'

'That's where you are wrong sweetie, you HAVE to know, for you to understand what goes on in his head.'

'OK then, go on.'

'As I was saying, Drex took pleasure in the trail of blood and pain he leaves behind, most importantly he took pleasure in the fear that people and his victims feel for him.' she paused for a while and then continued.

'At times, it felt like he didn't kill to feed but for the fear he inflicts in them before he kills them, it was rumored that before killing his victims, he'll compel them to see the images of his other victims or he'll make you see or feel what you fear the most and then he feeds on the fear they feel before he goes in for the kill.'

That's so horrible, I can't believe that she is talking about the same lord Drex that had been good and kind to me - hell- he even treated me better than my own mate did.

'Em... Are you sur-'

'Don't interrupt me! Save your questions and ask me when am done.'

'OK, sorry.' I grumbled quietly.

'So where was I?'
