It's been a month since everything happened- since Rose had a fight with Grayson, since me and Rose cried over two heart-breakers, since my 'argument' with Ethan, since our friendship group stopped any social connection with the Dolans. It was Christmas break, so everyone was at home. I had decided to go with Dahlia and Rose since my mum was away doing god knows what.
"We have some guests coming!" Dahlia's dad, Henry, says "two soon-to-be entrepreneurs and their parent."
I nod and start to tidy up
"They will come at 7 on the dot so you have 5 hours to set up the game room," He finishes
We all tidy up, along with some maids and we finish by 5. We dress ourselves up and wait until they come
"Everyone! To the dining table!" Her dad yells
We call sit down and I drink a glass of lemonade and occupy myself, along with my phone.
"Aah! Sean! A pleasure for you to come." Dahlia's complexion drains as she shifts uncomfortably on her chair
I was sipping my glass when the last people I want on earth arrive. I see Rose choke on her coke and I nearly vomited.
Ethan and Grayson walk in and awkwardly look around at the 3 fairly angry girls staring at them. Rose's eyes were fixed on Grayson's and steam seemed to come out of her ears and her eyes seemed to go red. Grayson seemed affected and slightly scared. Ethan took a seat next to Rose to avoid me and Grayson took a seat next to me to avoid Rose. Dahlia sat at the end and tried not to sneeze due to the awkward tension (when she's nervous, she sneezes a lot)
"I need to go." Rose excuses herself
"Me too." I say
"And me." Dahlia says
"Girls. Where are you going? Did you greet yourselves?" Dad asks
"Actually, I needed them." Dahlia's mum says as she stares Grayson and Ethan up and down. The boys notice and they shift in their seat uncontrollably. Dahlia's mum then walks into the large living room
We walk into the living room and Dahlia's mum stresses out
"I told your father not to bring them here." She says looking at Rose who was affected the most
"It's alright, seriously. Just a couple of hours with them. That's it." She says as she digs into her nails again. Sophie, Dahlia's mum holds Rose's hands in her palms and caresses her scars
"Honey, I know you too well, you're upset. If you don't want to be there then just say that I told you to check on the rabbits."
"Okay," Rose says as she looks down.
"You girls go, I'll deal with your hands." Sophie says as she takes Rose into the bathroom.
We all do what she says and walk back to our seats.
"Where's Rose?" Ethan asks
I look at Dahlia and she tells him that she went to the bathroom. Moments later, Rose arrives with a bandage around her hand and takes a seat next to Ethan and keeps quiet.
"Rose" Grayson says
Everyone looks at Grayson but Rose
"I'm sorry about what happened a month ago. It's my fault and I shouldn't have toyed with your feelings." He apologises
"It's okay" She mutters, still looking down
Grayson furrows his eyebrows together
"What?" He asks
