Dear Diary, i had a dream last night. I do not even know whether to classify it as a good dream or a nightmare. It began where i found myself stranded in the middle of the sea. I could see the shore ahead but it was a bit far away and i was all alone. The sky was cloudy and the sea was stormy. Waves kept on crashing against me taking me further away from the shore. I tried swimming towards the land when i found out that i couldn't. I turned behind and saw my fake mother holding my leg, hence preventing me from moving. She was looking scary with deep empty holes instead of eyes and her hair was in her face. Her teeth were all broken and those that were there were yellow. Her skin looked like it was rotten.
I thrashed around helplessly not knowing what to do. I glanced up at the sky and saw the clouds part a bit. In that parting, i saw the blue sky and a single ray of sunlight reached me and i felt fresh energy coursing through my veins. With that sudden burst of energy, i kicked hard and my mother let go of me. I swam strongly towards the shore where i was welcomed warmly by my grandmother. I turned around and saw no sign of any storm.
That was when i woke up. I knew there was hope somewhere and that i had to stay strong. I would get rid of this fake mother and all will be good.
