I'm back. Not necessarily better than ever, but hey and update's and update. Amiright? No seriously I apologize for the short time I took away from the story. However, I have geared up on a bunch of gross disgusting horribly mushy Christmas movies, so here we go. Also, thank you all for tagging along for the ride that I'm taking you on. It's not really been wild, but I'm doing my best.

The sunlight peered in through a crack in my dark curtains, demanding that I awaken. Sniffling, I tried to roll over, but found I could hardly move. Then I remembered all that had occurred last night. Smiling slightly, I leaned my head back, to find a snoring Hearth with a glorious case of bedhead, and a little drool on his pillow.

Our limbs were tangled together, and the heat under the blanket was almost suffocating. Slowly untangling myself from him, I rolled over and checked my phone.

3 Unread Messages.

Great, I thought,  That's probably from Sam, or Blitz.

I went to the bathroom, to wash my face/do my morning routine/get ready, and checked them all. Turns out, they were from the latter.

Message 1: Hey you haven't seen Hearth anywhere have you?

Message 2: Hey we think he took your communication stone. Have you seen or heard from him at all?

Message 3: Hey last time we checked he was in the my home realm, which you and I both know is a big no no for elves. If you have any idea as to where he is, can you please tell me.

Reply Sent: Hey! Sorry to get back to you so late, you're probably worried sick! Hearth's here! He's good and alive! I live at ........!

Walking out of the bathroom, I noticed Hearth was still good, and passed out. Snorting slightly, I walked over to the curtains, and tied them back, so some more sunlight filtered into the room. I unplugged the fairy lights, and headed to make some breakfast.

I made (breakfast of your choice, honestly, it could be anything you wanted it to), and brought it back to my room. Setting it down on my coffee table, I got comfy on the couch, and turned on the tv. I heard shuffling in the bed next to me, then a sense of dread filled me.

(y/n)!? Where did you go!?, I heard, panicked and confused.

I sent a mental image of what I saw before me, and my own calm feelings, as I got up and went to the bed. Hearth, it's okay, I'm right here. I said, sitting down next to him as he sat up, wiping his face, and a light shade of green settled over his features.

I made breakfast if you want some. I smiled warmly, and went to go sit down in the cocoon of warm blanket I had made, continuing to eat. He nodded and got up, heading to the bathroom. After a few minutes he emerged and sat down next to me, starting in on his food.

After I was done I set my plate down, turning to Hearth with a serious look.  Alright, now we need to talk about what happened last night. Why did you take my communication stone from Sam, and why didn't you tell anyone where you were going?

Sighing he looked glum, almost as though he had just dropped a plate of pancakes. There were runes I had read about, guarded by a great beast. They were hidden away in Svartalfheim, and I thought maybe I could sleep past the beast while it was sleeping, but I slipped on a ledge, and got a bunch of scrapes. It woke up and ran after me. I took your stone as a last resort method of escaping in case I couldn't, and I didn't tell anyone else, because I knew nobody would let me go.

You sniggered at his stubbornness. He nervously gave you a crooked smile, and flushed a darker green. That whole situation sounds ridiculous, but in the end, I'm happy you're okay, and not dead. Frowning he rolled his eyes and threw his hands up. You can't tell me I'm wrong, they would've had me under 24 hour surveillance if they'd known what I was trying to attempt to do!

He huffed and crossed his arms, not unlike a little kid. No, you're not wrong, but arguing about it doesn't matter, what's done is done. I'm sure you'll get plenty earful from the others once they arrive. He seemed to droop a little at the mention of his little family, but didn't continue on.

Stretching, I collected the bowls, and let Hearth get ready for the day. As I was rinsing out the bowls, I heard the doorbell ring. Lo and behold, it was two of the other empty cups. "Hey, guys! Come on in, I'll have Hearth out to ya in just a minute!"

Blitz gave me a warm smile, while Sam barged past me, "It's good that he ended up here, we were worried sick about him." I returned his smile,"I'm sure he'll be happy to tell you all about his little adventure." I directed him to the seating area that Sam had already made herself at home in, and headed to my room to get Hearth.

When I walked in, he was sitting on my bed, in his freshly washed clothes, looking lost. Hey, are you okay? I questioned, moving to sit in front of him. He looked me in the eyes, but still seem to be looking somewhere else. He grabbed the side of my face, and moved us closer to each other, till I could see the little fibers that made up his icy gray eyes.

He seemed to snap back to reality, as he pored over my own (e/c) gems. Suddenly, he ran his thumb over the bottom of my lip, and leaned in close. As our lips connected, I could smell light peppermint, and a woody smell. We held it for a few seconds, but then pulled away. Hearth was basically a green pepper, and I'm sure I didn't look much better myself.

I cleared my throat, UUhm, that was nice, but Sam and Blitz are here. Realization dawned on him. I have something for you! I thought of it when Sam told us about the communication stone. He pulled out a small golden glowing stone, and handed it to me. I have it's twin, and when you want to talk to me, or vice versa, just hold it in your hand!

Smiling I thanked him, and lead him out to the waiting area. "Here he his you guys! Sorry to have kept you waiting! I hope you'll forgive me." Sam smirked at me,"Oh, this is a capital offense, we'll hold this grudge forever."

I rose my eyebrows at her,"I'm sure you will." I led them to the door, opening it as a way of seeing them out. "Don't go an freeze to death now," I said as Blitz and Sam stepped out onto the stoop. Hearth stopped, stepping between me and them. He stooped down, and plated another kiss on my lips, this one firmer, and more passionate.

I smiled up at him, "I'll see you later okay?" I stepped back inside a little,"I'll see you all later, alive and well, alright?" Two collective okays, and a hopeful smile rose from the trio, as they walked off the porch, I shut and locked the door. "So you and the elf, huh?" Ammirah asked.

Shoving past her, I stormed to my room, "You knew this would happen from the moment you intervened!" I shouted as I slammed my door shut.

Extra:

Sam lightly punched Hearth in the arm, "So you and (y/n), huh?"

All he did was smile, blush, and dive his face nose high into his scarf.
