Chapter 4

Liam's POV

I have no clue why I'm doing this but I think that Niall was right because she is 17 years old and she should be old enough to make her own choices. I went out to the hall and called our very close friend Jenifer.

Jenifer was our next-door neighbor. She was my age and we have known each other since before Kathy was born. Our parents were best friends since college we and Jenifer were born 8 days apart. Our parents said that we instantly clicked as babies.

"Hey Liam, how are you?" She asked as she answered the phone.

"Hey Jenifer I'm good and, how are you?" I asked her

"I'm good, I have a little problem." I told her

"What happened? Is Kathy alright? Are you parents alright?" She asked worried

"Well Kathy is fine but my parents no so much." I told her.

"What happened?" She asked

"They got into a wreck. And they are in a coma. Kathy is alright he just has a concussion." I told her with a hint of sadness in my voice.

"When did this happened?" She asked

"Yesterday at around 8 at night." I told her

I mean I felt bad for not telling her when it happened I just had so many things on my mind and it slipped.

"Wow Liam I'm so sorry." She said.

"It's alright." I told her.

"Is there anything you need?" She asked.

"Well I'm calling to ask for a favor." I told her.

"What is it?" She asked me.

"Well I have to go on tour in about 2 weeks and I know that Kathy has school and dance so I was wondering if you had any room in your flat so she can stay with you?" I asked her.

"Yes of course! My roommate moved out to go live with her boyfriend so now I have a spare room. What hospital are you guys at?" She asked.

"North London." I told her.

"Alright I'll be there as soon as I can." She said and then hung up.

Now all I have to do is walk in there and apologize and tell Kathy that she is going to be going to Jenifer's house until mom and dad get better. I slowly start walking back to the room when I start to hear someone singing. As I get closer to the door where it was coming from I notice that it was Kathy's room. I couldn't make out what song she was singing but she had a really great voice. Both her and I were born with these gifts, we can both sing but I was the one that wanted to making a living out of singing. She just wanted to be a dancer.

I walk into the room and she immediately stops singing

"Jesus Liam, next time give me a warning or something. You know I don't want anyone to know that I can sing." She told me was a small grin.

"I'm sorry Kathy. I just got off the phone with Jenifer, and she agreed to let you stay with her until mom and dad get better so you do not have to miss dance and school." I told her with a smile.

"Are you serious!?" she said with the biggest smile on her face. I nodded.

"Thank you so much Lili! I love you!" She ran over to me and hugged me.

KATHY'S POV

I was waiting for someone to come back into the room I was bored out of my mind. Then I remembered that it was trying to write a song for myself. Yes, I can also sing but that is something that I want to keep to myself. Singing is my brother's thing and I don't want to take that away from him and he knows that. My family are the only people that know I can sing.

I was starting to write a new song but I only had the beat and a few lines. If only I had my song journal or even a paper and pen. That's when I saw it, on my bed side table there was a little note pad. Maybe I could use that to finish writing my song. I reached over and grabbed it and started wring the lyrics.

That's all I have so far. I don't know what else to write. So, I start singing what I already have written down and try to come up with some new lyrics. That's when my door opened. I quickly put the notepad under my legs and looked up to see who it was. It was my brother, thank God because I don't know what I would do if somebody heard me sing.

"Jesus Liam, next time give me a warning or something. You know I don't want anyone to know that I can sing." I said with a little grin.

"I'm sorry Kathy. I just got off the phone with Jenifer, and she agreed to let you stay with her until mom and dad get better so you do not have to miss dance and school." he said to me with a smile.

"Thank you so much Lili! I love you!" I ran over to him and give him the biggest hug.

I can't believe that I actually get to stay. And it's a good thing too because I have competition coming up. Hey since the boys and girls are staying for two weeks they could see me compete.

"Hey Lili?" I asked him.

"yea?" He said turning around.

"I have a competition next weekend and you have never been to one so I was wondering if you wanted to come?" I asked him looking down.

"Of course! We will all come!" He said to me.

"Now, this isn't like one of your concerts Lili. This is an all-day thing. I have to be there at 8 in the morning and I leave at around 10pm." I told him.

"Wow. you dancers really take this seriously." He said as he laughed.
