Liam's little sister

Chapter 3

KATHY'S POV

I woke up the next to two nurses changing my IV and getting a blood sample.

"Really you couldn't wait until I woke up?" I said kind of harsh.

"Your brother said we could come in now." She said with a smile on her face.

"Alright whatever just get it over with." I said as I tried to fall back asleep.

When I woke up I heard talking.

"She can leave once she wakes." Said the voice which I'm guessing is the doctor.

"I know your awake." The voice was much softer and closer than the other one and had and Irish accent.

"No, I'm not." I said trying to sound sleepy.

"Kathy stop playing these games I want to talk to you." The voice said again.

This time I opened my eyes and it was Niall.

"What's going on Niall?" I asked him.

"Well I haven't talked to your brother about it but I wanted to know if you wanted to come stay with us on tour while your parents get better?" He asked with a smile on his face.

"I can't. I have school and dance and I'm on a competition team at my studio, I can't just leave that all behind." I said.

He looked at me with a frown and walked away. I was all alone for what seemed hours but then my brother came in.

"What's wrong Lili?" I asked him.

"You need to come with us until mum and dad get better." He told me.

"No, I can't what am I supposed to do with school and dance?" I asked him

"You're not going to stay home alone for however long they stay here." He told me.

"The hell I can't. Last time I check you aren't even here half the time you don't know what I can and can't do. I've stayed home alone plenty of times." I told him I immediately regretted it because I know that he misses us and wished he could be with us all the time.

He had this hurt look in his eyes. I felt so sorry but why does he all of a sudden care about what I do? He's never here though, he doesn't know what mum and dad let me do. I mean yea I miss him but he doesn't understand that I can't miss practice or school.

"Your coming with me that's final. We will figure out what to do with school later when we leave. We leave in two weeks for a tour in America" He said and left.

Yea right, like if I was going to go with him all the way to America. I love my brother but he can't expect me to just pack up and leave. After he left I was kind of tired so I slowly fell asleep.

NIALL'S POV

She looked so pretty when she was sleeping..... Wait what am I saying....... She's like my sister I can't have these feelings for her.

'But she's the definition of beautiful' my brain kept saying

I sat in her room waiting for her to wake up. This has been the hardest on Liam because he doesn't know when his parents are going to wake up. He's been going crazy, he really loves his parents. He's always talking about how his parents would always take him and his sister on family trips to the mountains and how he misses all of that. He is now calling Simon and telling him everything that has happened and asking about the tour that was supposed to start next week, but because of his parents and because of Kathy we are asking for another week off so they can be together.

I saw her staring to wake up and I didn't want her to know that I had been in here looking at her the whole time so I got up and walked out of the room to make it look like I was just waking in.

"Kathy your awake!" I said as I walked in.

"Yea I am." She said smiling but I could tell that it was a fake smile.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"It's nothing" she said.

"Kathy it's not nothing when you look upset." I told her looking right in her eyes.

"I just don't want to leave my life behind. With dance and school and my friends, I can't just get up and leave like Liam wants me to. He doesn't understand, he's doing what he loves with his four best friends, and now he wants me to leave all of my family and friends behind and go with him. It's not fair. He didn't even give me a chance to say what I thought about the situation. He just came in here and told me that I was going with him and that's that." She said with tears in her eyes.

"I know it can be hard to pack up and leave but Liam only wants the best for you. He doesn't want you to stay here by yourself while your parents are in the hospital." I told her

"I just can't leave, nobody will understand how I feel." She said looking back down.

I didn't know what else to say so we just sat in the silence which only lasted a couple of minutes.

"Kathy, they said that you can leave now, so we are going to take you home so you can pack your stuff and we can go to the hotel room and figure out where you are going to sleep for the next two weeks." Liam said walking in.

"I don't want to leave mum and dad, dance and all of my friends." She said with sadness in her voice.

"Well you have no other choice, I'm not up for this conversation, I need to make a lot of phone calls so get ready we need to leave." He said and walked out of the room.

She just sobbed. I got up and left to talk to Liam.

"Liam mate, do you have a second?" I asked him.

"Not right now Niall, I have to finish this paper work for Kathy and get her out of here so she can go get her stuff." He said not even looking up.

"No mate you need to listen to me now." I said looking right at him.

"What is it Niall!" He practically yelled

"It's just that you're not even giving her a chance to say what she wants. You're telling her what you want her to want, have you even thought about how she feels about everything and what she wants?" I yelled back at him

"She wants to stay her by herself and it's not going to happen." he said looking right into my eyes

"But have you heard her reason as to why she wants to stay?" I asked him

"She wants to stay for dance but she can go back to it when she gets back." He said.

"No, you don't understand, you're taking her away from something she loves to do. You're going around the world doing the things that you love with your four best friends. And you're asking her to drop everything she loves and to come with you on tour. Isn't there something else you can do? Like leave her with family or friends?" I asked him

"I guess your right Niall, I have been caught up in everything and I guess I never really asked her how she felt and what she wanted. I'm going to call a really close friend of ours to see if she can stay there." He said as he waked away

I really hope I can fix this for her.
