Like a wingless bird, he stood there carrying his broken heart. And like a warrior, she left him with his deep scar. Everyone used to tell her she's strong but she had never believed it. Therefore, she thought that being a warrior is being an artist because war had always inspired human beings. She was made of art and submerged in love. The love she'd never received or she probably had never thought she deserved it. For her, love has always been the prey of human's selfishness and thirst for control. It's at that moment when you think you caught it, you realize it remains one step ahead of you.

I walked into the lab looking for Barry. However, my heart was pounding preventing me from thinking properly. He'd been avoiding me for a few days. But, I couldn't stay away from him anymore. I'd tried to forget what happened that night, to ignore his feelings, maybe I succeeded. Yet, when it comes to ignore mine, I merely failed and it hurts a lot. I don't even know what love is, but when I hear that word, I only think about Barry Allen. The one who made my heart beat faster than Usain Bolt, whose smile made me melt like a chocolate molten cake. When I saw him my heart dropped to my mouth, "Barry" I snapped. He was standing with Joe and Iris. "Oh hey Joe, hey Iris." I said. He looked at me, "Tia" He whispered.

"May I have a word with you?" I asked.

"sure" He affirmed.

We were walking silently down the streets. The weather was cool, I felt refreshed watching people having normal lives, smiling to each other.

"We haven't talked since that night." I said breaking the silence. He nodded "You're right, I was very busy lately"

"You mean, you were avoiding me" I affirmed "Look B-"

"Well, yes. I was avoiding you Tia. I'm not going to act like the victim here because I know I am not. Either you rejected me or not we're still friends. I am sorry. Can't we just forget it?" He claimed.

His words are supposed to make me feel better, but they didn't. Because, deep inside, I wanted him to say it again. I wanted to replay that moment for a thousand times and listen to him carefully saying he loves me. I forced a smile "That's what exactly I wanted to say." I lied. "You're an incredible friend."

"I saw the blog you and Iris are running." He mentioned trying to change the subject "You know it's dangerous right?"

I shook my head in denial "Look Barry, That man is a hero, trust me, he's like the kindest person ever. He even sacrificed himself to save me from captain cold that night. You don't know him, so stop acting like that, I'm sure no one can hurt me while he's in this city. He's our guardian angel." I affirmed. And somehow, Barry was smiling when I finished my words. "If I were him and I heard you talking about me like that, I would be the proudest man ever" I heard him saying with his usual grin. That's my Barry.

I was sitting at Jitters with Iris, telling her the news about Barry and I.

"Honestly Tia, I don't know why you are doing this. I can see the feelings you have for him glowing in your eyes. Still and all, you're neglecting them and someday you're going to realize you've done a huge mistake." She said.

"Iris you can't be so sure of my feelings because no one including me can figure out what I actually want. And Barry is an amazing guy, It'd be a loss if I left him hanging on me." I responded.
