I could hear my breath and heartbeat while I'm lying on my bed in this dark room. It's been two weeks of rejection, of loneliness, of me being the worst version of myself. Every time I close my eyes, I dream either of Harrison Wells or myself in deep water.

Suddenly, the door opened and Iris came in. "Hestia Knight, wake up."

I looked at her in disbelief; I haven't seen anybody for two bloody weeks.

"Iris? Is that you?" I asked.

"Look at what you've done to yourself. Come on guys what's wrong with everyone!" She said and took away my sheet.

"You don't give up, do you?" I responded trying to get out of the bed.

"You've been ignoring my calls. And when I tried to visit, no one opened the door for me, I saw your car and I knew you were here so I had my ways and opened that door. You got me super worried." She protested. "Get up, we're going to Jitters"

When we got to Jitters, Iris started talking. "So, what's happening with you?"

"What's happening with me?" I affirmed sarcastically.

"Stop acting like a psycho, I mean, you and Barry are acting like that for two weeks now, and I feel I am missing something here." She claimed.

"Alright Iris, I'm sorry but I can't tell you anything. I just feel like I am not me anymore. Regardless of the fact we are best friends and what we are doing, I am not the Tia you know. Something is torturing me, changing my heart." I sighed.

Iris looked at me in concern, she shook her head "What I see now, is the Tia I know, but I see hurt in her eyes. And something is telling me that she's becoming stronger. Because, Hestia Knight, is a phoenix, she rises from her dust, stronger and greater. Don't let anything break you or control your life. Tia doesn't go with the flow, she creates her own river."

"Iris" I whispered "I feel powerless. I'm devastated." Tears started rolling down my cheeks as I started to remember what happened the night I came back home.

Flashback:

After my last conversation with Barry, I went back to my house. However, my father wasn't there. I thought he just left for a meeting with Joe but I found a letter:

" To my beloved daughter:

I know it's hard for you to live all these years without a mother and I know I'm not the best father ever. Even though I tried to give you everything you needed, I couldn't give you a mother's love.

Hestia, my beautiful angel, you've become a great woman, and I'm sure you can take care of yourself now. So, read carefully because you deserve to know the truth. Your biological parents died in a car accident, your father was more than a friend to me, I found in him the brother I've never had. I owe him many things including my life. The night he died, I was there, I saw you, and the first thought I had is 'this girl is my daughter now, I would never leave her alone' I wanted to give you the life that your real father would give you. I wanted to pay the debt. But trust me, you being in my life is the most perfect thing that had ever happened to me. I brought you to my house, I told my wife you were my daughter from another woman and she hated both of us for that. Now you know why I didn't blame her for anything she's done. I didn't regret it since I had such a daughter. But when my existence starts threatening your life, I better go away. Don't try to find me. And, I know you're having those visions. That's why you need to get as far as you can from the man you're seeing. Don't trust anyone but your heart. I know you will do the right thing. I will always be your father and you'll always be my beloved daughter."
