I opened my eyes to see the clock: 4AM. I felt Barry's bare body underneath me, his breath was messy.. He was awake.
I looked at him. His eyes looked distant.
"Why are you still awake?" I asked.
"Thinking" He affirmed. "I went to meet my father before I came here and he said that I don't need to change the timeline to be happy... he's right I am with you and I am the happiest man ever. What do you think I should do? I need someone to tell me what I need to do, this is getting me crazy."
"Umm.. I think Henry is right, but, you've been through a lot Barr, you deserve to have a choice. You deserve to live with your parents, to kiss your mother every morning before going to school, to talk to her about your problems , to see her and your father live happily, to marry the woman you love, Hestia Wells Allen.. huh I can't imagine how this life may go, with my parents alive.. having you by my side but this is not about me.. I think that Henry deserves to spend his life with his son and his beloved wife. As much as I love you Barr, I want you to have the life you deserve.. And I want to be selfish and tell you that I want to keep you here, to spend every single night like this night, with you, but I can't because you deserve much better than this. Do what your heart tells you." I said.
"You're the best I may deserve" He affirmed " meeting you and living with Iris and Joe, that was a great life. But my father.. and my mother they deserve better. I wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice my own happiness for theirs."
I nodded. 'was' I think I know what he meant.. he will accept the opportunity Wells gave him. Tears started rolling down my cheeks as I hugged him tightly, like our bodies were barriers and if I only get past that barrier our souls will merge. So that nothing will be able to take him from me. Not even a stupid timeline. That may be our last night together, and It was just like I wanted it to be.
In the morning, we went to starlabs where everyone was waiting for us. Barry announced his decisions to everyone before he went to discuss it with Thawne.
"..Once the collision happens, a wormhole forms." Stein was explaining how everything will happen and I couldn't focus, I couldn't force my mind to think of something but every single moment I spent before, every single decision I've made will be erased and replaced by another version of me's decisions.
"What do you think?" Barry asked me.
"I- Um Cisco what do you think?" I avoided the question.
"I mean.. on the one hand it does make a kind of sense.. On the other hand.. WHYYYY.. Whyy whyyy would you ever consider doing this" Cisco talked.
"You know why" Barry affirmed. And I decided not to talk today. I will only listen.
"But how fast will barry have to go?" Caitlin said, and I noticed that Ronnie was standing right beside her.
"Theoretically the collision happens at the speed of light" I affirmed " But he doesn't have to run at the speed of light, he only has to match the particle' speed."
"Barry has never been this fast before" Caitlin said.
"So what happens if Barry couldn't reach that speed?" Joe asked. "I mean I'm imagining a bug hitting a windshield."
"In this case, the bug is Barry." I talked "He might die."
"Let me worry about how fast I have to go" Barry affirmed. "Well I need something else too."
