Chapter Nine - Leave Me Alone!

"What is wrong with you?" Doctor scowled Prince, watching him mess with the controls of the TARDIS. He would be driving it himself, but he'd learned the hard way that he couldn't control her, "I can't believe you would run off like that! What were you thinking? Were you thinking?"

"Shut up, Doctor," Prince growled, "I can take care of myself."

"Apparently, you can't!" Doctor shot back, "What happened to that girl? Ezibel was her name, wasn't it? What happened to her?"

"Why does it concern you?" Prince demanded, "It's not like you could have stopped it! You couldn't have done anything about it!"

"About what?" Amy broke into the dispute, "What happened to her?"

"She..." Prince swallowed, "She... Was shot... By someone who claimed they knew me. It's a long story and I am NOT going to explain!"

"You WILL explain!" Doctor commanded, "So help me..."

"You're adventures are of your concern, Doctor," Prince countered, "And my adventures are of mine. I have never asked about Astrid or Donna or any of them. What you told me, you told me on your own free will."

"I..." Doctor opened his mouth and then closed it again.

"We've arrived where I want to go," Prince informed, pulling a cord, "Amy and Ace here are in great need of a vacation... And so I brought them here."

"Where is here?" Doctor demanded.

"Yes, I would like to know that, too," Amy voiced.

"Nah," Prince smirked, "You'd much rather go see it." Amy and Ace raced to the door and flung it open.

"It's a beach!" Amy squealed.

"Not just a beach, Nan," Prince smirked, "It's what one might call a tourist planet... Go have fun, you two... Just stay together... Oh! And take this." He tossed them a communicator.

"Yay!" Ace cheered, both of them running off.

"So... Dad," Prince turned back to Doctor, who was a little taken aback at being addressed, "Now's our time to talk... So say something."
