Where The Truth Begins The Lies Ends

Chapter 1

 As I stood in front of the mirror adding some blush on my cheeks. A sudden voice made my arm jerk spreading it more than necessary. 

"Amy come on get your butt down stairs or we will be late for Nate's party" Nick shouted.

I sighed and cleaned up the excess make up from my face and shouted back "Just give me a minute. I'm almost done" 

I ran the brush in my brown wavy hair one last time and took my clutch which was resting on my bed and made my way downstairs.

"You did a great job in hiding that hideous face of yours" Nick commented with a smirk.

"Whatever" I said rolling my eyes and stuck my tongue out at him.

Nick is in the first year of college and he decided to attend the local college so he could spend sometime with me and dad. After mom passed away, Nick had grown a little more protective so he didn't wanted to leave me.

Nick and Nate had been good friends as I spend most of my time with Nate. He has a rule of not attending a high school party now that he graduated but there was always an exception for Nate.

          As Nick and I entered the party, I could hear some acquaintances and few friends call my name and I smiled and greeted back.

Nate and I had been best friends since third grade and I had a huge crush on him in 9th grade. Hey, not my problem I'm sucker for blue eyes but now I have out grown my crush. Cutting off my thoughts a voice called.

"Amy is that you?" A familiar voice asked from behind me.

"Nope I'm just the ghost my body is on its way" I replied rolling my eyes

As I turned I saw the guy or my best friend standing there with two girls on either side of him. As he came closer to me I saw his pretty blue eyes widened with excitement. He whispered something in their ears and they nodded leaving us alone.

"Nate who were those two girls? " I asked giving him a hug.

"No one important" he said waving his hand in dismissal. "Look at you, you look gorgeous" he complimented me with a wink .

"Well you don't look bad yourself" I complimented him. 

"Well I look good everyday. There's nothing new in that." he shrugged playfully.

"Cocky much" I replied sticking my tongue out at him

"Oh hey bro" Nate greeted Nick with the weird manly handshake. Nick finally excused himself and left me alone with Nate.

"Hey Amy lets go to bar" Nate said and I nodded in agreement..

We walked towards bar area but suddenly Nate's eyes caught sight of a hot girl so he excused himself. Now that he left me alone so I decided to grab a few drinks on my own. Making my way towards the bar I took a seat on the stool and waited to get noticed by the guys serving drinks.

"What would you like miss? " a masculine voice asked me. As I looked up I found my self staring into a pool of ocean blue eyes.

"Have we met before?" I questioned him and he shook his head.

"I'm new. Will be starting school next week" he replied.

"Oh! I'm Amy.....Amy Evans" I introduced my self.

" Logan Woods" he replied.

 "What would you like to have?"he asked .

"A good friend who understands me" I replied dryly.

"Um well actually seems like you aren't the only one asking for that" he said with a smile. He continued shrugging his shoulders "Well people say I'm not that bad of a friend"
