"To resurrect Klaus'...beloved," she said timidly.
The Jinglers looked bewildered. The beloved of Klaus was a taboo subject in their kingdom and after years of moaning, he decided he'd be happy for her sake.
"Candy?" they whispered slowly.
Arachne nodded. "Candy needs one hair of Klaus. She misses him."
She vaguely remembered Candy. All red and green. Bouncy and chirpy. She was the morning glory in radiance and the moonlit charm at night.
"Haven't I told you to be busy?" growled Klaus. "What are you doing staring at the ground?"
The Jinglers looked scared and resumed their work.
Arachne looked up at him. "Klaus."
Klaus' mane ruffled around. "Who?"
"I can bring back Candy."
He looked down. "Do not take her name."
"I can bring back Candy."
"Hades is too strict. You think I have not ventured to the Underworld? You think I have not made sacrifices...?" he said, his eyes turning sad.
"One condition. Candy wants your hair. She wants you. You want her. I want freedom," said Arachne.
"I cannot help you, Arachne," he said, raising his brows. "Athena's curses are deadly."
"You can. I need the Apple of Restoration from the Nymphs' Garden. I've convinced Hades. Candy needs one hair of yours."
Klaus frowned subtly. "Candy never does that."
