"Phantasos!" screamed Nyx. Even if she'd taunt and slap him she did love him. He was after all, her grandson.
She looked into the pool.
"What a fate for a narcissist," mused someone.
"Cunning," scowled Candy. You're behind this, aren't you?"
"What you gonna do red and white?" he laughed. "Thought I was so innocent, wasn't I? Are you gonna feed me lollipops?"
"Where's Pandora?" asked Kairos calmly.
"Oh, you know, the usual. Releasing plagues. Destruction," he said, cleaning his nails and blowing them.
"We are aware," said Candy, sizzling with anger. Her body was jerking as Kairos put a hand on her shoulder, giving her a look.
"Fine, then. Let's have a chat," said Kairos. "Do you live with the factions?"
Cunning raised his brows. "Yes."
"You are even holding her captive!" said Candy, gesturing towards Amoris, bound and gagged, her eyes bloodshot.
"Apparently."
"So, are you running this game or is there someone behind it?"
"I don't run it," he said, looking at them sharply. "Who does is confidential."
"So, what's the catch if you're helping her?" asked Kairos smoothly. Cunning narrowed his eyes.
"How do you know it's a woman?" he countered. "It could be a male."
"Ah, but you see we are against this specific woman who thinks intelligence rules," said Candy, gritting her teeth.
"Then, I side with her," said Cunning, red eyes flashing.
Kairos picked up the bow and looked at Amoris as she looked back. Fear draped her in suffocating wraps. She knew that the apple was on her forehead.
Kairos looked back sternly. "Well, if I must kill..."
He released the arrow as it flew towards her forehead and blood spattered about.
Candy gasped as she went towards Amoris. The force field was no longer there. She looked at her.
"Well, then, the game is over."
Nyx looked at Kairos sharply. "Why did you aim? You traitor."
"Yes," said Kairos proudly.
"You are gonna pay for taking away two people," she said, a gleam in her eyes. "You don't know me."
Cunning laughed. "Didn't think that'd happen. Welcome to the group."
