Caroline walked down the hallway of the mansion, searching for Klaus's bedroom. She'd been there for a month already but still doesn't know her way around.
She finally found Klaus's bedroom, the scent of wet paint wafted round his bedroom door. Caroline placed her hand on the doorknob and turned it slightly then pushed it open. The second the door opened, Caroline found herself pinned against the wall with Klaus pointing a broken paintbrush at her throat.
Klaus took a second to recognize the face of the person that he just attacked. "Oh, sorry, love. I thought you were Kol." He flung the paintbrush across the room and flopped back-first onto his bed.
"You were just going to stab your brother in the throat?!" Caroline cried, waking away from the wall.
"Well, Kol is the only resident in this house who doesn't knock so I would simply be teaching him a lesson. I just assumed that you had manners, perhaps I was wrong." Klaus said cheekily."You're an asshole." Caroline muttered.
"That's not what you said when you were shoving your tongue down my throat, last night." Klaus smirked. "Are you here to finish what we started?"
Caroline fake-gagged. "First of all, I never use tongue. Second of all, no! Ew, no! I was stupid last night and I can assure you, I will not be doing it again. Stefan is my boyfriend, not the big bad hybrid."
"I wouldn't be so sure if I were you, love." Klaus smiled devilishly. "Why are you here then?"
"I came to see if you had any updates on the whole 'Mystic Falls needs a powerful witch' situation." Caroline smiled falsely.
Klaus smiled "Well, I was going to send Davina over but seeing as I-"
"Turned her into a vampire, she's out of the question." Caroline said, finishing his sentence.
"Exactly, now there is a coven here in New Orleans, but you see, I'm not exactly on the best of terms with them." Klaus said as he stood up from his bed and walked to a half-finished paint canvas. The painting was of a girl, Caroline couldn't see any facial features on the painting so she didn't know who he was painting.
"No looking." Klaus smirked as he turned the canvas over, restricting Caroline from seeing it.
"Whatever, so do you have a witch or not?" Caroline sighed.
Klaus's face scrunched up. "Yes. I do."
"Why did you give me that face?" Caroline asked.
"The witch, is my... friend. Vincent. He's a witch." Klaus said weakly.
"Okay?" Caroline said, unsure why Klaus scrunched up his face.
"Vincent is extremely powerful." Klaus said vaguely.
"Wow, okay. What's the problem with Vincent?" Caroline said, smiling. When she smiles, she always flashes her individual dimple which softens Klaus's heart every time.
Klaus sighed. "Well, love. Let's just say he has separation issues with New Orleans."
"I don't care, Klaus! You will get him to leave this hellhole, into Mystic Falls! They need your help!" Caroline snapped.
Klaus inhaled sharply. "Fine. But do know that I'm only doing this for you. I do not care for your Mystic Falls friends but you do."
"... Thanks." Caroline turned away to face the door but Klaus placed his hand on her arm.
"I love you Caroline. You already know that. If Stefan ever hurts you, I am here. I don't mind being a rebound." Klaus said sincerely.
Silence filled the room. "Noted." Caroline said awkwardly. "Well, I better go."
