Klaus drove Caroline to a small beach. Small, yet perfect. It was deserted and the sun was setting. It reflected on the water, making the ocean look like a small array of a warm rainbow. Caroline walked down the shore with Klaus by her side.

"You're boring." Klaus smiled.

Caroline stopped in her tracks. "I am not boring. I happen to be the best party planner. I am Caroline Forbes" She glared at him with her hands on her hips.

"Caroline Forbes, this isn't fun." Klaus joked.

"Don't say that!" Caroline retorted

Klaus looked down at her. "You're right, the words: 'Caroline Forbes' and 'fun' should never be used in the same sentence.  My bad, love." He smirked devilishly, making her sigh.

"Fine, what's fun to you?" Caroline said, staring at his dimples.

Klaus cleared his throat then pointed at something across the beach. "That is fun." Klaus said.

"Huh?" Caroline looked in the direction where Klaus pointed but saw nothing. "What am I supposed to be looking at? I see nothin-"

Before Caroline could finish, she felt one of Klaus's masculine arms wrap beneath her legs and the other behind her back. He held her, bridal-style.

"What are you doing?" Caroline giggled as she squirmed in his arms.

"I'm showing you my idea of fun." Klaus smirked, running into the ocean with her still in his arms.

He dropped her into the sea and swam around her.

"Klaus, you jackass!" Caroline gurgled as she tried to swim upright.

Klaus saw that she was struggling so he held her in his arms until she stopped squirming. She turned around and looked into his eyes that stared back at hers.

"I was fine..." She said, looking away.

"No you weren't." Klaus smirked, with his arms wrapped around her waist.

Caroline realised that there was no space between her body and his. Her breathing quickened to she chose to get out of the water. "I'm gonna go dry off."

Hours had passed and the sun finally set, letting the moon rise. Caroline sat on the sand then stared at the blue, full moon. "It's beautiful."

"Almost as beautiful as you." Klaus smiled, sitting beside her.

"Whatever." Caroline rolled her eyes.

Klaus exhaled a sigh. "Why do you do that?"

"Do what?" Caroline asked.

"I compliment you. Praise you, yet you scoff or roll your eyes at me!" Klaus said with scrunched up eyes.

Caroline took a deep breath then stared into his eyes. "If I don't deny my feelings for you, both of us will get hurt in the end. You are bad for me, Klaus. How can you not see that?"

"I do, I see that. But take a chance, Caroline. Take a chance with me, let me make you feel like a queen! Let me in!" Klaus said, standing up.

Caroline responded in silence.

"So that's it? You have nothing to say?" Klaus grunted in frustration.

She stood up and placed her hand on his cheek to calm him down, and it did. The blonde caressed his cheek then laid her forehead against his.

"Klaus, I've been with a lot of guys. Damon, who compelled me and turned me into his sex slave. Matt used me as a rebound for Elena because she's always everybody's number one choice. Tyler left me to go through with his stupid revenge fantasy against you. I am a hopeless romantic, Klaus. If you're not bad for me, then I'm bad for you." Caroline turned away to escape the tension building up.

Klaus had other ideas, he walked up behind her and laid his hands on her waist. He lowered his lips to her neck and left a trail of butterfly-kisses up and down her neck.

Caroline responded by caressing his cheek. "Like I said in the car, I want this. But I can't. Klaus, we will be hurting a lot of people by doing this."

Klaus ignored Caroline and continued to kiss her neck, passionately.

"K-Klaus..." Caroline stuttered, holding onto his dark curly hair.

He stroke the sides of her body then heightened his head and twirled her around. "Who cares what they think? For once in your life, think of yourself! Don't worry about what they'll say, care about how you feel, and how I can make you feel. Let me in."

Caroline winced and pulled away. "If I let you in, you're going to hurt me. I've been through enough pain and hurt, I don't want that. If I hurt you, what am I supposed to expect from you? How will you lash out? How will I fix it? There are so many questions I have,  Klaus!"

Klaus grabbed Caroline's wrist firmly. "We can answer them together, love. But we can't if you don't let me in, Caroline. I can't help you answer these questions if you don't let me in."

A tear rolled down Caroline's cheek. "Nothing works out when I let someone in. I will be the death of you."

"Luckily." Klaus said as he wrapped his arms around her waist ,"we have forever to figure it out." Klaus leaned in and crashed his lips against hers and inhaled sharply.

Caroline responded to the kiss by ripping off his shirt.

"Are we really going to do this on the beach, love?" Klaus chuckled.

Caroline tilted her head then pulled her swimsuit straps down, revealing her upper body to Klaus. "Well, we did it in the woods once, I think that we can manage on a beach."

Klaus grinned devilishly. "I like your thinking process."
