The next morning, I awoke to the sound of tapping on my window. I groaned and lazily shuffled my way to the window, opening it and letting my owl in. He was carrying a medium sized box. It was from my parents.
It took the box from Val and gave her a piece of jerky that I had left over from a few days ago. She gave a happy hoot and left. I sighed and read the letter attached to the box.

"We found this for you,
Mom and Dad"

I opened the box to find a book. A book I'd been looking for since I was fourteen. My phone then buzzed. I looked at the screen to show a text from Rin, then I looked at the time.
I was late!
I put the book down on my desk and quickly changed. As soon as I was changed I grabbed my phone and wand, then ran out of my room and out of the Ravenclaw common room. I quickly made my way to my first class; Defense Against the Dark Arts. I made it just in time, as the Professor was just closing the door. I slipped through the door just before it closed. Professor Snape gave me a look of either amusement or irritation.
I've always had a crush on him, even though he's a lot older than I am. In his fifties, I'm pretty sure. I don't mind though. I like older men. They have a higher maturity level than those in the same year as me.
Snape doesn't like me much. I seem to annoy him sometimes. I don't know what I do to annoy him though.

I quickly strode right to my seat in the middle of the classroom, next to Rin and Tylar.
"Where are your books, Miss Arrowood?" Snape asked as he closed the door. My eyes grew wide for a moment before they closed in frustration.
"They are in my quarters," I said, opening my eyes again, seeing Snape with a hand on his desk.
"And, what's your excuse?" I tilted my head back and rolled my eyes before looking at him again.
"I don't have one. I am an insolent child with no means of responsibility." I said coldly, imitating him. My classmates found it amusing, and internally, I was patting myself of the back for entertaining and somewhat humiliating my stern professor. He didn't find it amusing, though.
"Go grab them and be quick about it. Ten points from Ravenclaw and detention." He said. I groaned and slumped my why to the doorway, sluggishly passing him with my head low, back slouched and arms swinging lifelessly at my side, hair covering my face.
"Oh, hurry up child!" He shouted. I made it to the door, turned dramatically, and gave him the sassiest look I could muster.
"Oh, honey please," I said, flipping my hair back out of my face and snapped a 'Z'. I then ran out the door as fast as I could before he could get to me and strangle me like Homer would Bart. I ran as fast as I could up the many stairs, losing breath quickly, but I pressed on, nearly dead by the time I got to my room. I grabbed the books I needed and groaned, leaving, knowing the way back would be just as breath taking as the way there.
I took my time on the way back, having barely enough strength to hold myself up. I got to the floor the class was on and then ran, not having far to go. However, I was going too fast for myself to stop without tripping and dying. Instead, I slammed right into the door, hitting it at full speed. I grabbed the handle and pushed the door open, collapsing on the ground. I could hear Snape roll his eyes.
I got up slowly and went to my seat, rubbing my sore nose from the smack of the door.

Class was agonizingly slow; slower than usual. When class finally ended, the three of us parted ways, going to switch books. We had herbology next with Professor Longbottom.

Having finished dinner, I bade my friends farewell and went down to detention to meet my sweet bottomed man.
I mean...
What?
I knocked on the door to the potions classroom and waited. There was no answer. I tried to open the door, but it was locked. I sighed and crossed my arms.
How rude.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket and scrolled through my music and tapped on a random song. I smirked and put my headphones in. I bobbed my head to the beat and hummed along.
When the chorus came into play I belted it as loud as I could and danced, as what others would call a dork.
"Salt and Pepa's here, and we're in effect
Want you to push it, babe
Coolin' by day then at night working up a sweat
C'mon girls, let's go show the guys that we know
How to become number one in a hot party show
Now push it"
I didn't even notice Snape standing behind me, I was so into it. I guess he was trying for a while to get my attention.
All I felt I tight grip on my arm. I squealed and jumped as I was pulled into the classroom.
"Please! God no! I'm not ready! For the love of God, I'm just a fetus! I'm just a fetuuussss!!!" I screamed, sitting on the ground in attempt to slow my captor. My headphones were pulled out of my ears and I opened my eyes, laying on the ground. There stood Snape, disapprovingly staring down at me. I smiled and waved.
"Oh! Hey hot stuff!" I sat up and fixed my skirt. He just scoffed and threw my headphones at me. I laughed a little and stood up as he sat at his desk. I rushed over and struck a pose in front of his desk.
"So, what is my punishment for being an insolent child?" I asked, holding the pose. He rolled his eyes and pointed to the jars of icky looking things.
"Alphabetize those jars and relabel them." I stood like a normal person and nodded.
"Yes sir!" I smiled. Tis was one of my favorite things to do. It was so satisfying to reorganize and put things in order. I started off by carefully taking the jars off of the shelf, one at a time, because I'm clumsy, and set them on the desk next to me. I stopped for a moment.
"Can I listen to music while I do this?" I asked.
"Otherwise I'll likely try and strike up a conversation." He sighed and held his head.
"Anything to keep you quiet." He stated. I mentally fist bumped myself and smiled, putting my headphones back in my ears, flipping through my music. I tuned to some music I've loved forever. I started to bounce in place and swished my hips.
Caramelldansen.
I lip synced and made my way to the sink, grabbing a rag and dampening it with water. I went back to the jars and started to wipe the dust off of them, then moved to the shelf and wiped the dust off of it.
I went back to the sink and rinsed it. I took out a headphone and danced my way over to Snape's desk.
"Do you have anything to label with? I'd use my own stuff but it's all colorful and in my quarters."
He groaned and rummaged through his desk, finding simple plain white labels and a black pen. I grabbed them from his hands and went back to my "punishment".
I relabeled jar after jar until I was finally finished. I wiped my forehead with my forearm and huffed.
"Done!" I yelled as I looked at the man with a big grin, pointing to my work. He glanced up for a second and lowered his head again.
"Fine. Now get out." He grumbled. I smiled and ran out of the room.
"Thank you, professor!" I said on my way out.
I made my way up to Ravenclaw tower and hung out in my beanbag chair until bed time.

I could only imagine his face as I thanked him.
