It's the night of the Yule Ball. Snape and I had to make an agreement where I'd get ready in his chambers and head in together, just in case I decided to hide from him and not go.
My hair, by this time, had faded to a nice blue-ish silver color. I like it a lot, actually.
Snape was in his room, getting himself ready while I had the bathroom to myself. I asked if it would be okay from me to take a quick shower. He hesitantly agreed.
Now, with my hair tame, I was able to style it. I left the sides of my hair down, while the rest was up in a messy but nice-looking bun. I looked at the dress that was hanging on the back of the door. I was really proud of it. It was a blue, high-low strapless dress, the inside of the skirt had black lace that matched the top. I added some sparkle to the lace parts with little black gem stones. I grabbed the dress and slipped it on. I zipped up the back and smiled at myself in the mirror. I felt pretty for the first time in my life.
I grabbed my heels that were on the floor and walked out of the bathroom.

I met Snape in the sitting room. He wore black formal robes, and, my god, did he ever clean up nicely.
I gave him a smile as he just stared at me. I couldn't tell if it was good or bad.
"Do I look okay?" I asked, starting to put my shoes on. He shook his head and cleared his throat.
"You look fine. Shall we go?" He held his arm out to me. I finished putting my shoes on and happily took his arm. I couldn't help but feel like we were going together as a couple. We left his quarters and made our way to the Great Hall. Just before we walked into the room, I turned to him and smiled.
"Promise me a dance." I insisted. I glared at me as we entered.
"I don't dance." He replied coldly.
"It'll be fun," I persuaded.
"Perhaps at the very end, when everyone has gone to bed." He sighed, knowing I wasn't going to stop until I got the dance. I grinned.
We stood where we were supposed to and watched as the four Triwizard competitors danced the first dance.
I was allowed to join my friends in a dance during the Ball. I danced with Tylar, then with Rin. It was actually a lot of fun.
"Could you get me some sweets?" I asked Rin. She nodded. I knew she'd be spending most of her time there anyways.
As time went on, more and more people started to head out. I watched eagerly, wanting my dance. Rin and Liz were waiting with me.
"We should go to the astronomy tower and have our own little party," I said with a grin.
"The music that was played wasn't exactly the best." Rin and Liz agreed, as the music played was more directed towards wizards, not muggle borns. All three of us were at least half blood and raised more around muggles.
"You will do no such thing." Snape interrupted. I looked over at him with a 'why not' look.
"It is far too late at night for more 'partying'." He finished. I just huffed.
"Fine. Then we will wait till everyone is done here and continue with our own fun." I smirked, seeing that the band was starting to pack up. Snape opened his mouth to speak, but I cut him off.
"And we can have our dance!" I said happily, pulling my phone out of the side of my dress.
"I have the perfect song!" I grabbed Snape's arm and pulled him into the middle of the floor and started the song. Million Reasons by Lady Gaga. The music started and I grabbed Snape's arms and put them in place, starting to slowly sway. He was really awkward to dance with, but I figured he'd be uncomfortable for the first dance. I planned on dancing with him again, secretly.
Rin and Liz made small flames on their pinky fingers and swayed as well.
I sang along as Snape and I danced. He didn't seem to mind.

Soon the song finished and Snape quickly stepped away from me. I shrugged and played the next song, a more upbeat song.
Rin, Liz and I all danced some more, now enjoying ourselves now that we had music we knew and liked and could move around in the room.
"Have a good evening, ladies." Dumbledore smiled at us as he left.
"Good night, headmaster," We said in unison. Still dancing and singing. Professor Snape sat in a chair, knowing he now had to stay with us to supervise.
We continued to dance for another two hours. Dancing to Single Ladies, Starstruck, etc.
Rin and Liz were now tired and headed to bed. Once they left, I turned to Snape.
"Can we dance for real this time?" I asked, standing in front of him. He just looked up at me then sighed, standing. I smiled and went to get my phone for music but he took it from me and put it in his pocket. He began to hum as he grabbed my hand and waist. I couldn't help but blush.
The tune he was humming was oddly familiar. The tune and the way he hummed it. I then gasped.
"It was you," I said, still dancing.
"What was me?"
"That night in the hospital wing... and you kissed me." We stopped and looked at each other. He became stiff, as if he'd been caught red handed.
"I'm... I'm right, aren't I..." I pushed.
"I-I can't deny it any longer," He finally said.
"Professor I-I---"
"I understand you don't feel the same, but--"
"No, no! I do!" I blurted. He just looked down at me.
"I-I've had a crush on you for the longest time a-and... and I thought I'd die with it,"
"As did I," he admitted. I couldn't help but blush and smile, then look away.
"C-Can we continue our dance?" I asked, now overjoyed to know the truth. He just gave a small smile and held me closer to him and we started to dance again. I couldn't help but smile up at him as we danced. There was no music, but it felt like it.

//~ Please note I was listening to I See The Light from Tangled as I wrote this~\\

We continued to dance for what felt like hours. My cheek now rested against Snape's chest. I was getting tired, but I didn't want to end this. This moment was all I've ever wanted and to end it would seem like a crime worthy of Azkaban.
