Marcia Grace
We have been stuck in traffic for over an hour and all I can think about is using the bathroom. I should've never drunk that whole bottle of water. On the bright side, Dyson stopped playing music and stopped singing.
But although he stopped doing all of that he can't stop nagging about how hungry he is. I try to tune him out and try texting Henry, I haven't heard of him since our "date". I wonder if he's doing okay.
I don't get a reply instantly like I usually do from him so I just suppose he's spending time with his family since is spring break and all.
"And that's why we are stuck in this stupid traffic! People can't stay at college to study, no they rather come on the highway and back it up! Repulsive I tell you!" Dyson is yelling at no one. I turn around slowly staring at him. I guess traffic makes people go crazy.
I shrug and start to shake my legs repeatedly as I see a young girl in the car next to me drinking out of a water bottle. I can't hold it in anymore.
"And then you know what's even more cra- Are you okay Marcia?" Dyson asks surprised.
I nod my head in response still shaking my legs. "You really have to go huh?"
I nod once again. "Oh boy, well I guess you'll just have to wait.. what a shame.." He slowly starts to make water running noises and I close my eyes and tilt my head back as my legs start to shake even faster.
He starts to get louder with noise and I reach over slapping his arm. "Quit it Dyson!"
"Oh I'm sorry? Did that bother you?" He asks smirking at me.
I glare at him and turn away. "Well that's what you get for doing what you did!"
Furrowing my eyebrows I turn to look at him, "What did I do to you?" I ask confused.
"Let's see, I've been complaining about how hungry I am since we got stuck in this borderline crazy ass traffic and you decide it would be do hilarious to take out a bag of Lays chips and purposely flaunt it in front of my face while munching on them. Not even asking me for a bite!" He exclaims, and I start to bust out laughing because what he is saying is completely true.
I laugh until I cannot breathe. "Laugh it up Marcia, I'll get you back"
I start wiping my small tears that were already forming, "Oh please. You already did! Making those stupid pissing noises, it almost feels like I don't have to pee anymore"
"What, did you laugh it out?"
I don't reply since we are in his car and making him think that I peed myself in his car would only make him go more insane.
"Mar, did you really laugh it out?" He asks clearly scared and disgusted lifting his head slightly to check, I start to laugh as he visibly calms down. "Not funny Marcia"
"You should have seen your face, you were so so so" I was laughing so hard that I couldn't even get out what I wanted to say.
"So unbelievable attractive?"
And my laugh is suddenly thrown out the window. "Yeah you wish" way to kill a mood.
Although I denied it, Dyson is one of the most attractive guys I've yet to see on campus. Saying this in my head makes me blush hard.
"Marcia, why are you blushing?" He asks sweetly but when I look over to him he is smirking.
Oh boy this traffic better start to move.
***
Before I know it we are out of traffic and heading towards my house.
The car ride got pretty silent after everything, which is good and bad. Good because I can't take to hear his voice any longer, but bad because I want to hear him talk. Does that make any sense?
I decide to break the silence, "I should warn you about my family" I say nervous for some weird reason.
Both hands on the steering wheel he quickly glanced over to me, "Okay.." He says slowly. "What about them?"
I breathe heavily, "They are very family oriented meaning that they either will see you as one of their own.. Or something worse" I say rather than just saying the word 'boyfriend'. I know my family very well enough to say that if I'm coming home for spring break my mom is most likely throwing a 'get-together' where all of our family members will be. My mom and aunt Judy are the worst ones. They will smother him to death also being that he is very attractive.
Yes. That he is.
"Marcia?" He questions.
I quickly snap out of it looking over to him, "Yes?"
Slightly chuckling he asks, "Do you always daze out like that? You look pretty crazy"
Slumbering I look at him, "Shut up"
"What do you mean 'or worse?"
Should I tell him? I mean what does it matter. It's just a warning.
I shrug, "You know like, boyfriend or something" I shrug again feeling slightly uncomfortable.
"Oh" he mumbles softly suddenly sounding down. "Yeah, cause that would be horrible" he says chuckling but there was no humor to it..
