I yawned as I got up from my slumber. The room was already dim, seems like everyone had already gone home.

I checked the wall clock above my boss' desk. Shoot, it's already quarter to eleven in the evening. How long was I've been asleep?

I glanced around the room and sighed, Mr. Harris Harrington, CEO of Thunder Express, Inc. who happened to be my immediate head was nowhere to be found today. He hasn't been answering my calls so I assumed that he's on leave. I am his executive assistant and obviously, I had access to his office that is why I fell asleep in his pantry. Yes I know, sleeping on duty must not be tolerated but what can I do? He made me pull an all-nighter just so I could finish the report that he was supposed to present the following day.

When I was about to leave his office, I heard whispers and giggling outside the room. So my insticts told me that I should just hide until they're gone. The lights are off so they wouldn't spot me that easily. I hid below my boss' desk, and boy was I so wrong about that. The glass doors of his office sprung open and before I know it, there was a loud bang on the table. I heard kissing noises, zippers being undone...

Well, this is awkward. Am I seriously, and literally witnessing a freaking sex scene?!

I shut my eyes and covered my mouth with both hands. Trying my best not to make any noise as they continued their dirty deed. Never have I imagined that someone as strict and uptight as my boss would have a pretty active sex life, like really, he seems uninterested with women, I even thought he was gay.

The table rocked back and forth, harder and faster as the time goes by, as if mimicking my heart beat. Saying that I am nervous would be an understatement. I'm so fucking scared for my life. What if I get caught? My boss would definitely fire me, and that would be the second time, I shivered at the thought. Why am I such an idiot? I always find myself in an inconvenient situation, like every fucking time.

"Oh Harris, faster." The girl moaned. Why does it sound familiar? Just then the table rocked faster causing me to stumble on the carpet.

Oh shit, this is bad but it seems like they haven't noticed any movement from me, they're very very occupied at the moment.

Just when I was about to crawl further beneath the table, I felt my nose tingling. I'm allergic to dust, and when I stumbled on the carpet, I must've caught some. I struggled to keep myself from sneezing. Thankfully, I was successful the first time. But then—

"Achoo!" Oh, fuck this shit I'm out.

"What the- who's there?" My boss called out. I never thought that my heart could beat a lot faster than earlier. It feels like it's gonna jump out my chest.

"I said who the hell is there?! There's no reason to hide anymore. We heard you!" He yelled again. I sighed in defeat, looks like this will be my last day here in Thunder.

I crawled out of my hiding space and stood in front of my boss, and the girl that he was banging earlier. Thankfully, they are already clothed, but not so much, though. Mr. Harris is only wearing his boxers while the girl, who I now recognized as Lila from accounting, is wearing Mr. Harris' coat with nothing underneath except for her undergarments.

"Why the hell are you still in here, Ms. Brown? Explain yourself!" He yelled as he puts on his pants.

"I-uh.. I- uhm, uh" I stammered. I couldn't bring myself to confess that I slept on his pantry earlier. I need to think of a better excuse before he beat my sorry ass.

"Speak properly, Ms. Brown. Why the hell are you hiding in there?!"

Uh-oh, he's really mad now. Think, Millie. Think.

"I uh- I got caught up on work, sir. I'm so sorry I didn't mean to-" And then he cut me off.

"Get. The. Hell. Out. Of. My. Office! This instant! And bring all your things with you! Don't come back here ever again, you're fired!"

"But sir- I- it was an accident I swear-"

"I said get out!"

He was really fuming mad. I have never been so scared my entire life. This was even worse than my first expulsion experience. I ran outside his office as tears run down my face. I went to my cubicle and collected all my valuables.

I don't know what to feel anymore. So many emotions are running through my system — I feel frustrated, scared, sad, hopeless, and I feel mad at myself. Why does this always happen to me? Why do I have to be such an idiot?

Once I have packed all my things, I took the elevator and stormed out of the building.

As I was calling a cab, I heard rumbling from the sky and then thunder began clapping. Great. How unfortunate can this day get? And before I can even find a shelter from the up and coming rain, it began to fall. Hard.

It just doesn't get any better than this.
