Part 29

'Angel!' I hear from behind me and turn around to see Jake

'Hiya!' I say before he wraps me into a hug, he stinks.

'Come with me- I need to show you something' he says with a slight lisp, I turn around and look for Lucas but I can't see him.

'Okay then' I say and he tells me to go into the basement, it's dark and full of boxes and other- things...

As we go round some boxes I see Alex.

'What's going on?' I ask and Alex looks up at me with tears in her eyes.

'What are you doing here???' She asks and I take a step back at her harsh tone.

'J-Jake told me to wait down here..?' I say and her eyes widen

'No no no- angel go upstairs and find Lucas and stay with him, okay?'

'Why? What's going on?'

'Just go!' She yells and I turn around only to see Jake behind me.

'Leaving so soon?' He asks and I nod

'I need to go find Lucas.'

Jake touches my arm and it burns my skin, demons skin is hotter the madder they get, he seems calm though.

I look at his eyes and realise they are turning bright red. Another sign that he's angry.

But his face remains calm and his body moves slowly.

His hand grabs my arm tightly as he brings me over to Alex and pushes me down harshly.

He still looks calm and his breathing remains steady.

'So Angel- did you know that Lucas and Alex have been keeping secrets from us?' He says looking down at me and I look up, what does he mean?

'Oh yes. Lucas and Alex have been whispering and giggling all week. I knew they were hiding something. I just didn't know what.' He squats down , cms away from us

'Jake...' Alex starts and he slaps her face harshly.

'I suggest you shut up.' He says, still talking in a calm tone. 'When Alex said she deserved better and that she would be staying with Luke for a while, it clicked.'

I look down and he pulls my chin up hastily.

'He was taking her away from me..' he says Alex goes to say something but Jake tilts his head at her , making her be quiet.

His eyes are wide and his movements are slow yet intimidating, he's shaking ever so slightly.

'So I decided, if Lucas wants to take what's mine.. then i want to take what's his- except Lucas has everything. But what does he really care for? Money? No. Lucifer? No. The crown? No.... its you angel..'

Jakes hand hasn't left my chin, it wraps around my neck slowly and tightly, still burning my skin slightly.

'So I'm going to have you.' He says and I feel his hand tighten on my neck.

'Jake stop!' I hear Alex yell as my vision goes blurry, then I hear her yelp and everything goes black.
