"I hate you." I said.
She was shocked. I could tell that that was definitely not something she wanted to hear from me after seeing me for the first time after everything.
"How could you be so stupid!" I shouted, "Trying to kill yourself?! You know you could have just talked to me and I would have done every single thing in my power to make you better until I had absolutely nothing left to offer you! Until I, myself, was on the verge of dying! I-" I clenched my fists then released. The tears coming back.
I walked over to her bed, sitting down and pulling her into a lose but warm hug. She hugged me back and sobbed into my shoulder.
"I'm so sorry, Sarah. I know that me saying that won't work and I don't know what else to say at the moment to make you forgive me."
I pulled back, "You don't need to get me to forgive you. You being here with me, alive, is all I need." I kissed her forehead and we both smiled through the tears.

"How's your head?" She asked.
"My head?! YOU JUST GOT HIT BY A FREAKING TRAIN AND YOU'RE WORRIED ABOUT MY HEAD?? By the way, this little thing," I pointed to the bandage on my head, "is from your coffee table. I fainted after reading your letter."
"Oh, I'm s-"
"Save it. You've said you're sorry too much, I got the idea."
"I'm glad to see you got the ring." She smiled, changing the subject. She cuddled into my side, grabbing my hand with her hand that held the matching silver band.

"Hey, guess what?" I said in a soft voice, lifting her head up to meet my eyes.
"Hmm?"
"You've got yourself a new roommate."
"What?" She raised her eyebrows. The doctors said that she'd be in the hospital for the next few weeks and I knew that I'd stay here with her as long as I possibly could. She made me share a bed with her the first few nights but after she fell asleep, I would move to the couch because I knew that, although she found my being next to her comforting, it still hurt her.
"Yeah... so my parents found out about me being gay..."
"Oh."
"Your parents told me they're gonna take me in until we can convince my parents to let me back into my own home." I chuckled.
"Yay!" She pulled me into an unexpected hug. The pain meds the nurses give her make her giddy and extra touchy and clingy but I don't mind a bit.
