I stared down at my shoes.
No, that can't be right. Maybe I'm still dreaming. Mary is gone. She's not coming back.
"Sarah... She needs you. Like you said, you need to be there for her in tough times. She needs you, and I sure as hell know you need her too."
I looked up at his face to see if he was joking. But no, his face was straight.
He gave a slight nod and I slowly stood up. My legs already shaking and I followed him down the hallway.
