I scanned the room again, my heart beating loud in my chest. I was afraid again. Just then, I noticed a small movement in a dark corner.

I gasped.

———————————————————————

Taemin, six years old

A small blond boy ran through the hay bales of his parents farm. He was playing hide-and-seek and out of excitement and he couldn't help but giggle, which his hiding place betrayed.

His nanny was searching for him, pretending that she didn't know where he was. She turned around and walked away, which made the boy giggle even more. She called out to him.

The boy ran away again, he run around the barn and pushed the doors open. Only to be met with red. His breath was caught in his throat.

On the ground laid his favorite kitten.

Her eyes were looking at the boy, maybe even looking through him. Out her mouth drooled a little pool of red, her neck was cut open.

His nanny caught up with him but beheld in horror as she saw the kitten. A gasp escaped her mouth and she turned the boy away from the view.

A tear slided down the boy's cheek.

He had later found out that it was a predator which had attacked his kitten.

Those eyes from the kitten, cold, regretful, full of disbelief and lifelessness, were haunting Taemin ever since that day.

Those same eyes were looking at me right now.

There, on a seat in the room was a middle-aged woman with blood oozing out her neck. Her dress, once white, was now decorated with almost black blood.

I let out a strangled sound. Was she still alive?
I shot up and walked with hesitation to her. The view made me want to throw up. Full of fear and gruesome, I shook her shoulder, I checked her pulse. I ripped off a piece of my clothing and desperately tried to stop the blood from flowing.

It didn't help.

Quick.
Search for a bandage kit.

I looked around, a door. A very derelict door.

I desolately threw myself at the door.

Did it open?

I squinted my eyes, it opened. I hurried down the hall, bumping into everything on my way. I didn't realise how much I was covered with blood, it wasn't mine, to my horror.

I crashed down, I panicked. I put my hands up to my head, shaking and hyperventilating.

In front of me was a family, the wife was missing, she was in the room I came from. Each one of them was killed in a horrible way, the children, the man, the dogs.. I couldn't look as I desperately tried to cover my eyes, only to realise in horror that my hands were covered in blood and my eyes now too...

I cried out, this wasn't true..

I blacked out again.

———————————————————————

I woke up groaning, my back hurted. I tried to shift a bit to find a better position. It still hurted.

My eyes darted over the floor, wood, and moved up to the walls, also wood. Didn't this seem like the sheriff's office?

Everything that had happened suddenly came as a blast back with me. I wanted to jump up to check if I was alright, as I looked down in horror, I realised that the blood was still there.

I froze as soon as I heard someone clear their throat and held something against my head.

It made a click-sound.

My eyes widened.
It was a gun.

Everyone happy new year~! Let 2018 be good to our boys, I wish everyone good health and healing. Thank you~ <3
