Honks blaring, Alexandria cursed under breath. Out of all days of the week, why did today have to contain a traffic jam, she thought.
This was the first in her organised life that she was going to lose the race against time.
Her eyes scoured the area in front of her, cars halted on the right side till she found a parking space just to her left.
If only she could manoeuvre her car to it, it would solve most of her problems.
Just a little pressure on the accelerator and a mini-second later her feet slammed into the brakes.
She couldn't do it. The space ahead of her was much too less.
Glancing at her watch she tensed up realising she had ten minutes left. She had to park the car or else...she shuddered thinking of breaking her punctuality record.
At that moment, Alexandria decided to do something that unknowingly would change the course of her life from planned to unpredictable.
It was a small action, but enough to make the fates smile at what they'd sent her way.
She blared her horn loud enough again and again, the cacophony earning her glares from those around her.
Mother would kill me for this, she thought, wincing at the sound herself.
The car in front of her didn't even budge.
At this point, she got frustrated. Whoever it was could move just a few centimetres in front, enough for her to be able to park her car.
She glanced at her watch once more before she got out and at the same time, so did the person in the car in front of her.
Black hair to rival her blonde, grey eyes to rival her brown, she stared at the Adonis before her, trying to think of where she'd seen him previous to this.
"Got a problem, miss?" He drawled out, lips curved up into a smirk.
"Isn't it apparent? I want to park my car and yours is in the way," she pointed to his Mercedes.
"As you can see, there's a jam. I couldn't move the car out of here even if I tried to, unless a pretty girl like you would like to help," he winked.
With eight minutes left, Alexandria had had enough of his nonsense. She walked over to him, then to the hood of his car.
"Can't move the car huh? There's at least three feet between your car and the one ahead!" she flailed her arms to add emphasis to her words.
"So what? It'll only help avoid an accident if the person in front of me decides to suddenly brake."
Ugh, why couldn't he understand?
"This is a traffic jam. I assure you no one will speed or brake suddenly enough to cause an accident. Now, if you could just move your car."
But the boy, whoever he was stopped paying attention as something clattered on the ground next to him.
Pink smoke arose from the contraption and Alexandria watched in horror as it filled the air.
She was late, the guy in front of her was being an asshole, and now it appeared as though unicorns had decided to fart pink smoke. What was this? A Disney movie gone wrong?
She bolted to the grey eyed man, grabbed his hand and ran out of there as fast as she could.
She had a plan in mind and before things went even more awry, she had to implement it.
The guy ran behind her without resistance, his mind still in a daze.
Slightly coughing, she took a blind turn to the left, stumbling her way into an alley and to the main road on the other side which was thankfully, devoid of the pink unicorn gas.
