"Hello?" Saffron called, her coat huddled warmly about her as her breath made clouds in the air. The silence was painfully eerie.

"Hello?" A voice was heard, " Is that Saffron?"

She cleared her throat, "Yes, it is. Please come into the clear so I can see you,"

A firgure appeared next to her. She turned round to face a Centaur. His eyes were harsh but fair, and his face held an air of grace. He held out his hand, "I'm Vallus,"

She shook his hand.

"What was the letter about? You said... Voldemort's Granddaughter? I don't believe I would be too rash in wondering what an earth is going on?" she burst out.

He sighed, " I understand this will be hard to understand, but-"

"Wait, it's true??!! How do I know I can trust you?"

"I knew your parents very well when we were younger. I grew up in the Forest and they came to visit me a lot. When they finished school, we swore to keep in contact. And sure enough, two years later we met and remisced about the good old days. I told them I had heard rumours; rumours about a girl who was said to be the Granddaughter of Voldemort. At the time, she was being kept at a Muggle orphanage so where in Wales, but her exact whereabouts were not known. Your parents wanted to find the girl, to look after her as their own, to protect you from harm. Through a great deal of tracking down, they arrived at an orphanage and asked for a young girl who had been brought in 3 months ago as a newborn found crying on the street. A local had brought you in, not knowing that you were the heir of one of the darkest wizard of all time. Scorpius and Cassidy found you, swore to care for you as their own, but they wouldn't tell you of your origin for fear it would bring you to harm. I wasn't planning to tell you, but I have seen it in the stars; you are in grave danger, my dear, and it would be safe to stay inside the castle as much as possible. Don't do anything that may draw attention to you."

Saffron was speechless.

"But, I need help! What if I'm killed, or someone sneaks into the school??"

"Do not fear, my girl. If ever in need of help, go to the fruit painting on the third floor balcony,  and tickle the pear. The Hogwarts Kitchens will be there; ask one of the elfs for Vallus the Centaur. They will let me know, and I will find you. But until then, watch out for yourself, my dear."

And with that, the centaur retreated into the forest.

Saffron felt an electricity run through her. She felt as though a million eyes were watching her. Trembling with cold and the chilling sensation of fear, she ran back into the castle, into the safety of her warm bed.
