When the brunet had managed to settle down and keep his mourning at bay, everybody had moved to the couch and floor. Rick sat on the couch, having pulled Morty to sit horizontally on his lap and keeping the brunet as close to his form as humanly possible at the moment, while the other three men slowly sat on the floor, staring up at the duo.

"You . . . Really?" Gary whispered, already near to crying. The brunet shrugged, giving a soft sniffle before he wiped at his own eyes. "I guess. I think s-so, anyw-way," he stammered, releasing a shuddering breath as he leaned into the man cradling his form.

"What - - I mean. . . How?" Al questioned quietly, haven't having seen the brunet in who knows how long. Morty shrugged. "I d-dunno. I was with . . . with Rick l-last-- the other night, and something happened. I don't know what happened, but I w-woke up yesterday and I remembered everything, and I j-- I couldn't breathe. I remembered AJ and. . ." Morty's voice broke and he stopped talking, trembling as he tried to stop from sobbing. He gave a slight sigh as Rick rubbed the back of his hand with his thumb, placing kisses to the brunet's hairline. Morty saw the build up in the man's eyes, watching the blue cloud over, but he still refused to let anybody other than Morty ever really see him cry.

"So you remember it all?" Al spoke up, leaning forward curiously. "Everything?"

Morty nodded solemnly, images of AJ still flooding his mind. He was beginning to struggle to cope with it all over again, though it was seeming more now as a false reality than a harsh fact. He almost couldn't believe it, and, horrible as it was, that probably helped ease the pain a bit.

"Well, I have to ask," Al stood , staring seriously now as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Are you back to doing everything you used to?"

Morty nodded questioningly, staring cautiously up at the man now.

"Everything you're doing is normal to you?"

Another slow nod, topped with a furrowed brow.

"And you two were doing THIS for hOW LONG without telling me?" Al seemed to be trying to lighten the mood and Morty chuckled, more so at his attitude than what was asked. The brunet mulled it over in his head, glancing back at Rick in a moment of askance. The man had a smile dancing in his eyes, laughter no doubt pooling in preparation for any reaction, and Morty turned back to all three men, who were equally as curious now that the question was out in the open.

"This has been going on since way before you were here, Al," Morty answered with a laugh, watching as all three men let their jaws go slack before they were stammering outbursts over one another.

"WHAT!?" Al shrieked once he found English in his mind once again. "You-?!" Rick was howling with laughter now behind the brunet, wiping at his eyes as his tears were put to different use. The brunet shook above him with the force of each laugh, watching in amusement as Gary and Gene began to converse quickly with one another, motioning towards the duo on the couch as they spoke in hushed, clipped voices.

"When?" Gary asked now, eyes boring into the brunet. Morty shifted slightly, still laughing. Gary was more curious than upset, which was a big relief. "He was my baby ever since we had that issue with Marc, and probably a little before that. I didn't just give him the talk," Rick added with a wink, watching as Gary's eyes inflated rapidly. "He was never no 'one time sweetheart', neither," the man spoke through laughter.

"So this entire time - the whole time I was trying to get you guys together - you were already a thing?!" Al sputtered, though appeared confused when Morty shook his head.

"Well, it-it's literally th-the most co-omplicated thing ever," Morty stammered, feeling a blush set in now. A rare feat, anymore, but accomplished just the same. "Then, we were kinda separated, a-almost fighting, really. B-But a lot of bad things happened, and I don't know where we were after that. I . . . I think we're good now." Morty turned towards Rick, curiosity burning in the green now as Rick looked back down at him with a furrowed brow. He smiled softly after a moment, slotting his fingers between Morty's and resting their hands on the brunet's hip while the fire that dwindled was quickly rekindled. He stole a short kiss, keeping it modest to the brunet's appreciative amusement. "Always," the man stated after a moment, smiling honestly at Morty.

       Rick really had changed.

"Well that's all fun an' all," Gene huffed, clearing his throat, "but I just gotta say somethin'." Morty watched as the man peered at Gary momentarily. "I FUCKIN' CALLED IT, YA BISH." Gary seemed taken aback before he began to laugh raucously, Al soon following suit as they all rolled on the floor.

"Wanna do something really funny?" Rick whispered to the brunet, Morty's curiosity piqued as he nodded with an eager smile.

While the three's laughter died down slowly, Rick relayed his plan to the brunet, Morty giggling as he went on, talking so close and quietly Morty missed their 'alone time'. Of course, that may be fast approaching with what they had planned.

Clearing his throat softly, Rick sat up fully, grinning at the brunet. The men were almost silent now, tiny giggles bubbling up as they tried to think of something that would help their laughter cease.

"Hey, Morty?" The brunet feigned ignorance, pretending he didn't hear the man and fighting a smile as he picked at his nail. "Morty?" Rick tried again, seeming desperate for the brunet's attention. You could say he was a great actor, but the truth was he pined for the brunet's attention more than a Min-Pin pining for a leg to hump in real life, anyway.

"Baby," Rick purred softly, nuzzling the brunet's neck. Morty had to stop himself from busting out laughing, looking at the man innocently. He spoke almost childishly, nearly too sweet and innocent. "Yes, daddy?"

"Oh hell no!" Gary called out, every man in the room but him laughing louder than thunder. He looked genuinely grossed out for a moment, his view of Morty absolutely shattered, before Gene gently punched his shoulder and fell to his side, unable to breathe as he went red faced, laughing silently. The upset bouncer gradually joined in, laughing with Gene. Al was dying on the floor it seemed, covering his eyes with his hands as he cackled loudly.

It was great to be back.
