Catarina's own birthday is coming up as she prepares for it in style! Catarina's birthday party is filled with fun and games as many middle schoolers arrive including Titus. Unfortunately, something happens that leaves the girls in a fight.

"Oh, darn, times flies!" Catarina exclaims, as 2:00 strucks.
The doorbell rang, in came Valerie Kings.
"Catarina!" whispered Sierra. "Who did you invite? You know I don't like Valerie! She's always such a fashionista, and....."
"Well, actually...." Catarina blushed. "I invited everyone in Fair Oaks Middle School-that's in our year. I'm sorry, Sierra.......oh, well, we better start the relay races! Girls versus boys-that is, when everyone comes......"
In came George Martinez, Titus' best friend. His baby sister, Marie, who had just stopped wailing, was in a fluffy lilac dress, a fat white sash tied around her waist. Then came Titus and his mother, then Marda Wilems' family, and a river of all the other 7th graders.
