I don't know why, but after Emily turned 8, I had fallen pregnant with another baby. Once those 9 months had past, I bore a son. We named him Grey, he was so small and sickly in his first few days, we didn't think he'd make it.

But, his sickness healed, unlike his sisters leg. She broke it while playing and it never healed properly, Jamison suggest surgery for  a fake leg. He's afraid her leg will become inmobile, that she'll be easier kill for a junker in the town or gang fauter. Blackjack noticed something was wrong as he always keeps his guard up and will tug at me if I walk towards the pen.

Thats when I noticed Jamison became more jumpy, more afraid. He once suggested we get the hell out of Australia and damn well never return. But there IS nowhere else to go. Unless he means somewhere farther in the states but we'd never make it that far, we'd be arressted, killed or tortured. Maybe even die off in the wilderness. We needed to leave soon, the drinking water seems to of become toxic and could take a week to kill you, a month if you're lucky.

But like I said, there IS nowhere to go. Emily's limping and I'm even considering discarding her leg, because there is no helping her, she'll die on her own soon. Anyway, the baby always seem to wanna crawl around and touch things while Emily has no intrest then anything but exploring the outback and trying to put bugs in a jar. Gross, but she's cute when she chases a beetle, telling it to come back like a dog. With her leg, she trips sometimes and her clothes get dirty, worse everyday.  Not to mention Emily doesn't get along well with other kids her age, I mean, she has friends who she  plays with, but their mostly boys who all run in a pack. somedays, I wonder if Emily thinks she's one. She's like her father, thats when I can say for certain. down to the blonde hair, and lack of attention span.

It's fun watching her try and ride the little colt of Ash and Blackjack, Zimmy. Mean little bugger, but he loves her, loves to buck her off at times and tug at her, follow her around. He's like a dog at times, him and Emily have even head butted a few times, She LOVES him.  He keeps her occupied and even helps her walk at times. Jamison hates when I allow her to stand on his back and go on adventures, but she's a kid, and I want her to see what I saw growing up. I was an orphan but still, the view was beautiful and thrill.
