Wind blew, making the grey clouds move a bit and the willow tree's vines swish softly as the the young male made it's way towards it with a bunch of flowers in hand.
His teal locks moved with the wind, a foggy sigh leaving his lips as the cold air hit his face.

The fallen snow crumpled below his footsteps, leaving a trail behind him, as he hid himself in the willow's vines.
The teen took another deep breath, before crouching down to a kneeling position and put the flowers on the ground.
"Domo, okā-san…" he whispered to the grave stone, letting his bangs fall over his eyes.
"I miss you."

"I wish you could be here, you have no idea how much it hurts… I can't feel your presence anymore and it hurts okā-san!" His teal eyes showed, looking at the grey stone, as if awaiting an answer. And, as if they got an answer, he continued.
"I hate this. Talking to you like this…
It, it doesn't feel right." A forced chuckle escaped his lips as his hand went over his saddened eyes. "As if anything ever does…"

Moments passed in silence, a sad smile graced his features before he finally said something.
"Well, happy new year okā-san… I-"

A rustle behind him interrupted his little speech as he turned to meet the sight of the man that ruined his life.
"Oh," the man gasped, suprised to see someone there. "T-Tetsuya, I didn't think you'd be here. I-I'll leave if-"
The teal haired boy sighed, annoyed at the man's behavior.
"Otó-san." He cut off his rambling, getting up from his kneeling position and dusting off his knees. He stood and watched his father with cold eyes. "I was just about to leave. So, please be quiet."

With that said, Tetsuya walked away from the man, and from his mother.
But then, he stopped and looked over his shoulder at the now kneeling man.

His eyes seemed to dart around for a moment, as if not wanting to see the scene and closed tightly.
"Otó-san." He'd regret his words later. For now though.
"Hm? Yes, Tetsuya?" As he got the attention of his father, he put his cold hands in his pockets and hid his eyes behind his bangs. Refusing to see the man.

"… Happy new year." The words were spoken softly. He wasn't too sure if he did it as if not to startle the man, or himself. He just felt the need to say it.

The older version of himself stood stunned, then broke into a wide grin.
"Oh, Tetsuya-"
"This doesn't change anything." His son said, going back to his cold personality. "It won't change anything until I get to the bottom of this." His young teal eyes motioned at the grave behind him.
"It's justShe wouldn't forgive me if I acted cold towards you today…"

And so, he left. With warm eyes.
Eyes, his grandfather, that stood waiting for them, was happy to see once again. Even if it was just for that day.

Eyes that he himself was relieved to finally have.

Eyes that were ruined as soon as a text brought him back to reality.
It was a mysterious message from an unknown number, that became clear as day and irritating as a certain someone's voice as soon as he read it.
'I'm baaack!! 😄
Just arrived! Don't worry, I did attract attention. 😊 You must be so proud!
Cya L8er lil bro! 😎'

"Ooo, no, no, no!" The teen rambled. "You are so not ruining this day for me." He said, practically glaring at his phone's screen.
The text he recieved a second later did not help his mood in any way.

'Sry, we both know I just did.
Mwahahaha 😈'

"Tatsuki! I'll kill you,  you idiot."
His thoughts, as if by magic, reached another teen's ears, who, at the moment had just arrived in Japan, grinned like a maniac.

"Ooh, I just can't wait for this year." A heart warming laugh was heard as his golden eyes filled with happiness.
"This'll be fun."

"Happy new year everyone!" He shouted gaining the attention he wanted.

What Tatsuki said.
😊
