Driving the Bus is a collection of short non-fiction writings. The only links between one writing and the next are that of the author and the non-fiction format. These writings are biographical and auto-biographical, and cover a wide variety of topics. If you prefer being selective to diving in then I recommend reading the Table of Contents for a brief synopsis of each offering. I will be publishing serially, adding a new piece each Sunday. #ProjectReadersReact

#1 in humor! (8/28/17) #1 in crappypasta! (8/7/18) Wow I'm just on a roll with these books. Welp, might as well get this description over with... Hello everyone! My name is horror-queen and this is Crappypasta. These range anywhere from Sp00py spin-offs to people who literally didn't try at all. Only the worst of the worst go into this book and though these stories can't send chills down you your spine, they're scary bad. Now keep in mind that these stories aren't MEANT to be bad. And if you should find that you wrote one of these, and you want it removed, kindly ask me. Because if you're mean, I'll probably keep it up. Anywho, grab some coffee, bundle up, and enjoy these Crappypastas. (By the way, this book contains A LOT of poor grammar and spelling. It will kill your brain cells as you read. So if you die, I'll host your funeral.)

Urban Fantasy - Romance - Immortals - Tournaments. Hidden throughout our modern world is an ancient, mythical community. Beneath their human masks lay a plethora of creatures both terrifying and captivating. Though united in their shared secrecy from humans, deep rifts exist between regions and races. The powerful Immortals that have held them together for centuries now struggle to retain control. At nineteen, Justice Edwards has done well to avoid her place in that world. Distracting herself with High School, and a string of no-string boyfriends she projects a confident but ditsy facade that has served her well. Until now. Summoned along with seventy-two other immortal children she will assume supernatural abilities and be expected to submit her life to the service of this community for the next eighty years. And, unless her team can best their peers in a competitive round of tournaments, she will also have to submit her heart in an intimate, empathic bond to a man with whom she has no say in choosing. As daughter to one of the oldest people to have ever lived, Justice's powers are expected to be legendary, but that means nothing if her team first implodes in a mire of jealousy, betrayal and forbidden love. I can't get the image of a beaten Tetsuya out of my mind. Could he be bullied? No it can't be, he's practically invisible... But there is no other explaination to this, Tetsuya has been acting strange lately as well. There was something off with him. If the way he moved didn't give the hint, then the wincing and slow reactions every now and then would. "Is there something wrong?" I ask following him, seeing his eyes widden for a moment then go back to the normal blank again in the next, as if it never happened. "It's not your problem anyway..." I was enraged, but Tetsuya left, not giving me a chance to threaten him or to pursue him further into telling me. Damn it Tetsuya! I will find out what's going on. ~ How? How did he find out? Why did he even notice? ... why would he even care?... "Everyone split in two teams. We're having a match." The coach yelled and blew his whistle. Everyone did as they were told and soon I found myself facing Haizaki's goons, their smiles sending shivers down my spine. Well, I'm screwed either way.

I've heard voices for as long as I can remember. They urge me to do things - dark, horrible, twisted things. It isn't until my eighteenth birthday that I learn something that both explains this phenomenon, and adds more question. The bodiless personalities are either angels, or demons. This epiphany doesn't worry me; what really frightens me is that the demons are stronger. © L. D. Nash

*Cover by the uber-talented Pixie Stormcrow!* (covers.pstormcrow.com) All bad decisions are born out of one key moment. A moment, thoughtless or not, where you choose wrong over right. Evil over good. You roll the dice and brace for the consequences, and that's exactly what Jolie and Carson did the day they met by mistake. One wrong number, one simple conversation over text, and their lives as they knew it were gone. Jolie, a miserable housewife who clings to the bottle just to get by, and Carson, a doctor who's stitched together the perfect facade to hide his failed marriage from his children and colleagues. Loneliness consumes them both, and when they find an unlikely friend at the end of a stranger's phone number, they cling to whatever connection they can get. Neither intended to cross any lines, but then again, good people rarely intend to do bad things. For Jolie and Carson, their key moment was fast and not at all easy. And the consequences might be even worse. ~~~~~~ The Wrong Number short story was one of the winners of the Forbidden Love Contest in 2018, and now an expanded full novel on Radish! If you haven't read the short story and don't want to spoil the novel, skip the first chapter!
