~Next Day~
The four core were in their hangout. Mal was pacing around the room as Jay and Evie watched her while Carlos was in deep thought.
"Carlos!" she screamed to the boy.
Carlos looked up at Mal with a blank face. He still hadn't answered the question she had asked him earlier.
"What's wrong with you?! You've been bumping into people all day on accident!" Mal screamed.
"I think I know," Jay said with a smirk.
"Then tell me!" she yelled, turning to Jay.
Jay turned to Carlos. "It's Jane, isn't it," he said in more of a statement way than a question.
Carlos nodded.
Mal sighed. She knew about how Jane thought of Carlos now and how they used to be friends.
"Carlos, you know she's not gonna come back," she said.
"That's not what I meant... well it was but there's more," Jay said before Carlos could say anything.
Evie got up from the couch and stood next to Mal. "Carlos, can you describe Jane for me?" she asked, catching on.
"Well...," he started. He got up and started walking around as he talked. "She's a shy girl who thinks I've changed. Jane's a beautiful, smart girl who just needs confidence. Her skin is flawless and her eyes... you'll just get lost in those eyes," Carlos said with a dreamy look in his eyes and a goofy smile.
"Carlos, do you like Jane?" Mal asked.
"Uh...um...well I," he studdered.
"Like her? More like love her," Evie said.
"Well...uh... um..." That's when something came to his mind. "I could just go around saying that you love Doug and Mal loves Ben," he said in defense.
"Fine. Like," Evie said.
Mal rolled her eyes and ignored the whole 'love' thing. "Carlos," she said, grabbing Carlos by his shoulders making him look at her. "Look me in the eyes and tell me that you don't like Jane."
Carlos looked into Mal's eyes. "I... Fine! I like Jane," he said, getting out of Mal's grip. He grabbed his bag as his friends cheered and slowly made his way to the exit. "But I'm not gonna tell her!" Carlos said quickly, then escaped.
"Then where are you going?!" Mal yelled after Carlos.
He chuckled. Mal knew him to well. "You know where I'm going!" Carlos yelled back.
Carlos ran to a place he hadn't been to in a long time. It was where all the garbage and scraps from Auradon came before Maleficent's evil minions and villains get their hands on everything. At the very end, there was an abandoned house that used to be his and Jane's hangout spot. Carlos made his way to the house. He peered through the broken window and smiled.
