Jacob was expecting the worse, the absolute fucking worst. He was home alone, his parents had gone out for dinner. He was sitting in his room, thinking about his plan of attack on how to get Henry and his friends back. He had a few ideas but all of them involve lots of weapons and explosives, so that's out of the equation. He was still thinking when his phone started ringing. He ignored it at first until it got super annoying.
"Hello, Jacob speaking", said Jacob into the phone cautiously.
"Jacob", said a quiet and raspy voice. "Jacob, help me".
"Who is this?" Jacob asked.
"It's me, Jacob", said the voice. "It's me".
"Who is this?" he asked again, getting impatient.
"Awwww Jacob, you don't recognise my voice", said the voice. "We used to be friends after all".
"J...James?' asked Jacob, getting a little scared. "Is that you?"
"You figured it out, Jacob. I knew you were a smart boy, after all, you keep getting A's for your assessments."
"Where are they?"
"Where is who, Jacob?" the voice asked.
"My friends", Jacob said through gritted teeth. As he said that, he felt something prick into his neck.
"Your friends, YOUR FRIENDS", said the voice of James with a cruel laugh. "They are with me, facing their punishment". James's face went white.
"Punishment?" asked James. "Why them?"
"They were there on the day that you sent me into the Asylum, they witness a crime and they are paying for it".
"Let them go, James", said Jacob, his voice slurring. "Let...Them...Go"
"Sorry, Jacob. I can't hear you. Say that again". Nothing came from Jacob. Nothing but silence. The phone hung up and Jacob was down on the ground, laying there. Absolutely still. A man picked him up off the floor, out of his room, through the front door. He walked to a familiar sight, a sight where pain is brought from the depths of your imagination, and where the pain goes away. This place also gives out Punishment, In Due Course.
