Punishment In Due Course

CHAPTER TWO

"Did you hear that?" asked one of the boys. "It sounded like James".

"It probably was James, he's probably having a laugh", replied Jacob. "He'll come out soon and start laughing his head off". But James didn't come out laughing, in fact, he never came out at all. Jacob and all the boys stood there waiting, until...

"Look, what is that?" asked Henry. Henry was Jacob's best friend. He pointed towards the entrance.

"Go on Henry, have a look for us", ordered Jacob. Henry walked over cautiously and carefully. When he got to the entrance, Henry saw a....

"A hand?" Henry called back, confused. "Jacob, it's a hand."

"See guys, it's just James having a laugh", Jacob said. "Come on out James". But James didn't come out. However, Henry saw something else, something that shocked him to his core.

"J-J-Jacob", Henry stuttered in shock. "There's something else, come on over"

"What is it?" asked Jacob while he walked over and then he stopped. He looked at Henry and then looked back down.

"Henry, is that what I think it is?" asked Jacob.

"Y-Y-Yes Jacob that is what you think it is", confirmed Henry.

"How?"

"I-I-I d-don't k-know Jacob how but I don't want to know w-what did it".

"Jesus Christ, what did James do?' asked Jacob.

"I-I-I don't know Jacob and I d-don't want to f-find out", replied Henry in fright.

"Let's go and you will NEVER and I mean NEVER repeat what you and I just saw, do we have an understanding Henry?" asked Jacob.

"Even if the police get involved?" asked Henry in return.

"Yes, even if the police get involved, do you understand?" asked Jacob again.

"Y-Yes, Jacob, I u-u-understand", answered Henry, clearly shaken by the situation.

"Good", said Jacob. "Let's get out of here then".

As they walked back, one of the boys asked what it was and why Henry was shaking. Jacob answered with that it was just a giant spider that wasn't actually that giant. Naturally, some of the boys were disbelieving and thought there was something else was bothering Henry but they didn't press the matter. But the thing that Jacob and Henry saw was never mentioned again, until now. While in a game of Touch, Henry and Jacob were discussing what they saw a few days earlier.

"Jacob, what if we tell the police about what we saw, maybe it'll help find out what happened to James", suggested Henry.

"Maybe, maybe not", answered Jacob.

"What do you mean?" asked Henry.

"What do I mean? I mean that we will be instant suspects and will be questioned about what happened to James and why we didn't report it instantly", explained Jacob.

"Alright, fine", said Henry and dropped the conversation. Later on the very same day. Henry replayed what he saw in his mind. He saw the hand, James's hand. He saw that just fine, all that did was confuse him but what he saw next freaked him out. What he saw was...... James's head. His head was scars all over it, one of his eyes were gone and he had a sick, sadistic smile. He saw that but that wasn't what had scared him. What scared Henry to his core was that the head was talking to him and Jacob, The head of James was speaking to them and it said this...

You did this to me. You have done this to too many people before me. Jacob, come to my domain. Bring your best friend, Henry. Bring the police, bring the Army. But you, Jacob and you, Henry will receive you Punishment, In Due Course.
