Son of a bitch. "You didn't seem to mind last night," his words echoed in my head.
I glared at him, "I don't know what you're talking about." I rolled off his bed, picking up my jacket in the process, "I'll see you at school," I muttered before heading out his bedroom door, down the hall and out the door towards my car. I angrily opened the car door and threw my phone onto the passangers seat before starting the car. I glanced at the car clock, 7:30. Shit. I wasn't going to make it on time, what with having to fix my appearance, and I hadn't even put my backpack together, not to mention having breakfast. Maybe I should just ditch..
I mean it would keep me from having to see him. No. I made a commitment. I wasn't going to let him win. I was going to go home, make myself look amazing, and then go to school, pretend to like him, and then I would win, I would win in the end.
I turned onto my street and parked my car in my driveway. I grabbed my jacket before heading out of the car and up the driveway. I grabbed the key from under the matt and stood up to unlock the door, pushing it open to head inside. The house was silent when I walked in, either Dad was out or he was already at work. I dropped my jacket on my staircase and ran up to the bathroom. My hair looked pretty decent in my reflection, brushing it out should help, but my make-up was smeared. I grabbed a cotton ball, poured eye make-up remover on it and started to rub off the mascara and eyeliner that I had applied onto my eyes yesterday. Then I grabbed the Clinque soap from my counter and applied it to my face before washing it off with cold water. I applied re-applied my foundation, mascara, and eyeliner before walking down the hallway towards my room. It was fairly cold outside, so I settled on dark skinny jeans, a simple gray shirt, and a beige scarf. I grabbed my bag and a pair of socks and ran down the stairs. The door rang, I groaned and opened the door. Not paying attention to who it was, I grabbed my brown boots and my leather jacket out of the closet and put them on at the stairs, then I turned my attention to the figure standing in the doorway.
"Can I help you, Brandon?" I asked bitterly, the cold air was blowing in from the outside, blowing my hair everywhere.
"You might want to brush your hair," he chuckled. I sent him a glare before picking my hairbrush out from my bag and began to brush through my hair.
"You know what Brandon? You can go now."
"But I just got here," he said with a laugh. He closed the front door behind him as he walked into the house towards the staircase.
"I don't care," I stood up and put my bag over my shoulder, "I've got to get to school," I shoved past him, towards the front door, "You should probably get going too," I said over my shoulder. I made my way towards my car, only to be shoved against the door.
"The hell Brandon!?" I shouted. He had just pushed me against my own car, and now had hands on either sides of me, boys got some nerve.
"C'mon, you don't really want to go to school do you?" He whispered in my ear, I felt his warm breath on my neck, causing my heart to beat faster, "I mean, we could ditch," his mouth moved towards my jawline, "and just, you know," his mouth trailed up dangerously close to my lips, "hang out."
I opened my mouth to agree, but I caught myself, "If this is your way of apologizing, you're doing a horrid job," I snapped, pushing him off me.
"What do I have to apologize for?" He asked, bewildered.
"I don't know, Brandon. What do you have to apologize for?" I scoffed and opened my car door, sliding into the drivers seat and starting the car, backing out of the driveway. I swear he wasn't going to wake up tomorrow. For now, I just had to put on a happy face and suck it up. He wasn't going to win. He drove me crazy..but he could actually be pretty sweet if he wanted to..What was I saying? No he couldn't. Not possible. Brandon being sweet was a zero percent chance. I pulled into a parking space and hopped out of the car, bag in my hand. If that boy had a death wish..
I raced towards the school, not bothering to look at my sides to check for cars, they could wait.
"Julianne, watch out!" Those were the last words I heard before everything went black.
