I froze right there at the female voice on the other end of the line . Why does she have his phone ? And where is he ? That's when it hit me. Maybe...

*a few months later *
"Ha-ppy Birth-day toooo youuuu"
"Happy birthday babies " I said giving them each a kiss after everyone was done singing.
I can't believe they're one year olds now, it feels just like yesterday that I was holding their tiny little bodies for the first time. They grow up too fast.
I choke back my tears I don't want to burst into tears infront of all our friends and family. So instead I went and got their smash cake ready while Veronica and Chris entertains them.
"Wow, I can't believe it's been a year..." Alex said handing me the piping bag.
"Yeah , so while we both decorate these cakes why don't we play a game of 20 questions to past the time ?" I said with a hidden smirk.
Okay , I'm not that lame or that mom . I just wanted to ask him something without asking it intentionally
"Sure I'm down, you start though it gives me more time to come up with better questions" he says with a chuckle.
"Ok...mmm...so, would you like more kids after the twins , like having experienced how they can get ?"
"Well, yeah of course. Would you ?"
"Yeah, I mean I love those two so much and besides the more the merrier right ?"
"Next question." Alex said taking another lick of the icing left over in the bowl as I give him a glare that says' haven't you had enough already?' Like seriously he almost finished that bowl and I left it like half .
Ignoring his sticky fingers in the icing bowl I continued;
"How many children would you like , like in total I mean ?"
"Um... I don't know... I would really like six in total but how many your willing is fine by me. Um... you ask again I'm still thinki- I mean my question is too good to ask."He said rubbing the back of his neck.
"Mhm...ok, pink or blue ?"
"Blue...these are really weird questions what is goi-"
"Shh, time for cake !"
I said grabbing the cake and heading out before he asks even more questions.
I placed their cakes infront of them as everyone took out their camera's recording this cute moment.

***** After I wiped their cute faces clean I hed back down so that we can start thanking everyone who came.
My family was here , Alex's family , Veronica , Josh , Chris , even some of Alex's closest gang buddies , which I didn't mind. I mean if he trusts them enough to invite them to our childrens party then I do too.
Anyway, I placed them on their birthday seats as I took my place next to Alex as he started his speech.
"I would like to start by thanking each and everyone who came and celebrated this very special day of Xander and Mia's first birthday. We had a very rough year as most of you might already know ,- " a wave of laughter was heard through the crowd as they all thought back to the eventful year we've had "- but thanks to the help and support of everyone in this room we made it thus far. I never thought I would ever be this happy and have such a wonderful family , but now that I do and I can truely say I found happiness. A toast to moving forward and more years to come for Xander and Mia !"
"To Xander and Mia!" Everyone cheered and raised their glasses.
As Alex was about to step down I stopped him , pulling him back by his arm .
"Um, I would also like to say something."
"Sure , go ahead baby you don't have to ask premission you know." Alex said with a chuckle.
I turned towards the crowd and raised my glass of non- alcholic champagne , As everyone else raised their glasses mimicking me as I said it.
"I'm pregnant."
Well everyone thats it. This is the end of the book. What did you think ? I had a lot of fun writing it and I really think I improved slightly from how I started out. I'll give more details about the sequal once it's out so yeah.
