I looked to my left as the street light across from me turned green. My footsteps left prints in the snow and my breath came out as fog dancing in the wind. Pulling my coat tighter around my body I quickened my pace to get out of the deadly cold. The nearest coffee shop looked good enough for me, anything to get out of the weather. Glasgow is either freezing cold or hot like a sauna. This is the last place I'd choose to live. Unfortunately I didn't have much of a choice at the time.

Looking at the menu I ordered a hot chocolate and sat down at one of the booths. I looked around the coffee shop. It was torn and tatted but it had a friendly environment. As I looked at all the customers one caught my eye in particular. A tall boy with a blond quiff sat at a table in the corner staring intently at his book. He was wearing black glasses that seemed to suit him. As I looked closer at the book he was reading I managed to make out "Psychology". I completely forgot how long I stared at him until all of a sudden he looked straight at me. His eyes were oceans full of blue. I looked away suddenly. Was I that obvious? He kept staring and I didn't understand.
