You pulled your key out of the inside pocket of your trusty hoodie and thumbled with it at the lock, ultimately failing. Josh then took your key, and put your hand on it, and with his own hands showed you how to turn it properly and unlocked the door. Brendon couldn't contain a very girly squeal when he saw how red you face was, but before you could hit him, he went running through your house, followed by Tyjo and Jen. Josh held the door open for you and you all traveled up the stairs. "YOUR HOUSE IS MAHOOSIVE!"Brendon yelled. You raised an eyebrow "OK IT'S REALLY BIG - GODDAMN STAHP JUDGING ME!"

"How are you already so hyper?" Jen rightfully questioned. " Cause It's only the start of the night guys!"

"As much as I wish it was, this is a group of teens doing homework and not a collage party" You said, sarcastically. He just squinted his eyes at you and stuck his tongue out. You where all settled in Ty's room on his bed. You where squished between Josh and Beebo, and Jenna and Tyler where leaning on the wall at the head of the bed. You where all surrounding your laptop and reading the different projects you could do. They where all boring, until you read one that made you snort, you where obviously the first one to read it. Josh turned his head to look at you "What?" You pointed to it. He burst out laughing too and everyone in the group looked at you two like you where mad. "Can we do this one guys, It's about Vegetable Power" You said, trying to be a serious as possible. Everyone else burst out laughing too, and Tyler fell off the bed which made matters worse. You where probably laughing for a good 5 minutes. You all finally calmed down. "ok, ok but it acTuALLY sAYS TO FIND OUT IF A POTATO CAN HARNESS ENOUGH POWER TO TURN ON A LIGHT BULB?!" Brendon blurted out, which set you all off again.

"OK WE ACTUALLY NEED TO WORK!" Jenna declared, setting everyone straight.

"We need to go buy a potato from the store, and I think we have some random wires and stuff from Tyjo's weird science kit which is in one of those boxes" You pointed to boxes that hadn't been unpacked yet in the corner of the room. They all nodded, finally being serious. Then Josh's stomach grumbled and you all burst out laughing again. "We should probably get some snacks too" He said, a little embarrassed. "Ok you two go to the shops down the road, Jenna can find some info about Vegetable Power and me and Brendon can find that kit thing"

"Okie Dokie!" You all agreed and got to work. You dragged Josh into your room to find your money tin. You dug through all your bags too, to find some spare change. Mean while, Josh flipped through your sketch book. You joined him on your bed as he looked at the different drawings "They aren't that good, I only just got those pastels so I'm not really a pro yet" He traced his finger around a drawing of a large oak tree that you where very proud of, it was one from The Moore. "No, It's really, really cool" He said in a slightly hushed voice. You just smiled. "Ok, well we have to go get that tato now" He chuckled a bit and placed the book back on it's shelf and followed you out of the house.

You got to the high street, and your phone buzzed. You picked up the call. "Hiya!" It was your mum.

"Sweetie, D/N has been an absolute charmer and is taking me to a hotel. Can you let Tyler know we'll be away for the night please?"

"Yeah sure mum, you sure are lucky aren't you?"

"Yeah I'm so lucky - I love you sweets, what are you doing now?"

"Oh, me and Josh are out doing some shopping for a potato" There was a pause "Ya know, For the science project"

"Ah, hahaha ok honey. Say hi to him for me and have a nice time ok?"

"Yeah, ok love you.....yeah I know don't worry..... Ok bye..... Bye...... Alright bye now!"

You hung up, finally, and found yourself in front of a Target.
"My mum says hi, by the way" Josh smiled brightly as if it really meant something to him "Awe, your mom is so nice"

"Yeah, sometimes too nice" You went down the vegetable isle, and Josh grabbed a potato and put it in one of those weird plastic bag things. You went to the counter, and the woman bleeped the singular potato. She looked at you both, slightly confused. "Is that all you need?"

"Yup"

She raised an eyebrow "Just one potato?"

"Yeah, just a singular tato thanks" Josh said, almost dead serious; making you splutter with laughter.

"Ok well, that'll be 50 cents please." (A/N: I dont know if thats expensive for a tato or not im not rlly an expert)

You handed over the money and she gave Josh the potato and you left the store, laughing almost to tears. Neither of you knew what was so funny about buying a potato but that's that I suppose.

Walking back home, you realized you forgot to get snacks, but Josh obviously hadn't when he stopped before Taco Bell. He grinned at you cheekily. "Can we? I'll pay!"

"How can I say no to that face" You said with a giggle and walked in side, and Josh did a fist pump in the air.

You came through the door and Tyler rushed over, eyes wide. "TACO BELL!" Josh and Tyler fist bumped. You set out the food in the living room, then you all got started. Tyler and Jenna where writing the science behind it, while the rest of you made the circuit with the potato. While the boys weren't looking and busy with all that science-y stuff, you grabbed a sharpie marker and drew a face on the vegetable, and christened it Alex; after the cashier that served you when buying him ( You looked at her name tag). He was a beautiful creature of the night.

"Ok pass the potato, then it's finished" Beebo said, reaching his hand out behind him. You placed Alex in his hand, trying to stifle laughter with your sleeve. You could only see his back, but you knew that he saw the face when he burst out laughing, louder than ever. "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK Y/N?" You let all your laugh out and Josh grabbed the potato, soon to be joining you in laughing. "HIS NAME IS ALEX!" You spluttered in between laughs. "WHY?" said Josh, eyebrows raised and hands on your shoulders like he was asking you a serious question. You wheezed then exclaimed "THE CASHIER, ITS HER NAME!" He took a double take before falling to the floor from the couch, tears in eyes, laughing more. All the while Jenna and Tyler where just giggling in the corner at you and shaking there heads. "What are they on?" Tyler laughed loudly at his own joke and couldn't stop himself from joining all of you on the floor to laugh like a maniac too. Jenna just took her phone out and started filming, laughing along.

Slouched on the sofa, stomach filled with taco and light headed from all the laughing, you all looked at the project you made. Considering that the amount of time you took to make it was spent more on laughing about Alex than actually doing the work, it turned out pretty good. It just turned 10pm. Jenna had to leave, as well as Brendon who said his mom has probably called the cops to look for him already. It was just you, your brother and Josh ironically watching The Room in Ty's bedroom now. "It's one of those movies that is so bad, it's good" Josh said as the credits rolled "I agree" Then Tyler said "if I ever make a movie, Tommy Wiseau HAS to be in it"

"Mhm" You agreed, slowly falling asleep.

(1365) So yeah! that was hella fun to write. Next chapter will be Josh's POV. If you thought this chapter was cringey af then sure ;-; ---but if you rlly liked it VOTE IT IS RLLY APRECIATED :D
