The day of the New Years Concert was here and Taeyeon was behind the stage watching EXO rehearse their performance. As they finished she clapped loudly and handed them towels.
" That was awesome guys, you look really cool." Kai smiled and messed up her hair. From afar BTS watched Taeyeon play with EXO.
" Aish why is she rooting for our competitors?" Jungkook said as he rubbed his tongue on his inner cheek.
" Maybe we should deprive her of food for every time she hangs out with them." Taehyung said lowly. Jin heard him and hit he back of his head.
" Good thing she is hanging out with them, that way they are distracted." Yoongi said as he stood up went to listen to the song again.
" I think you are the one who is distracted Yoongi. I mean you can't even make up your mind for the chorus." Jimin spoke loudly for him to hear, not afraid of him. Yoongi looked back at him and rolled his eyes.
Jin smacked the back of his head and walked over to Yoongi. " You kids can't shut up. Yoongi you can do it, don't focus on us and go choose the chorus." Yoongi nodded his head and left to go back stage.
He sat in the dressing room and looked at his book. " Ugh WHY IS IT SO HARD?!!" He yelled and moved his hair away from his face.
The door opened and Yoongi looked to see who distributed his peace. Taeyeon walked in and smiled at him. She went to grab the makeup palate from the table. " Sorry I just needed this. Are you okay? You seem mad."
She walked to him and he shook his head. " It is so hard. The deadline is in a few hours but I can't choose the chorus." Taeyeon sat down next to him and grabbed his book.
" Wait What? Hey!" She shushed him and read his lyric.
" This one. It goes with the beat." He looked confused so she sang the lyrics to the song.

" See it fits." Yoongi looked at her in awe and thanked her.
" That was amazing. Thanks for helping me, I'll go tell the others." He ran out and Taeyeon smiled as she slowly walked out of the room.
As she walked Irene went up behind her and scared her, making Taeyeon almost drop
her makeup.
" Sorry, but I do have great news. Well for you anyways. Our main singer got strep! That means you can sing with us, the Red Girls. What do say?!" Taeyeon smiled.
" Thanks, I'll do it. But for you. Not for me."
" Great, now lets go, practice until it's time for us to go."
Time Skip~
Taeyeon was sitting in the dressing room waiting for her other members to get ready. EXO performed first and BTS was to perform last. She was sitting behind the clothes, wearing a black hoodie over her clothes, on a couch with Yoongi and Namjoon sleeping next to her.
Hoseok came to them and took pictures of them sleeping. Taeyeon smiled and took Hoseok's phone. " You know Yoongi will be mad when he finds out right?"
Hoseok nodded and smiled. " I know, it's fun annoying them." Taeyeon scoffed and messed his hair up.
Irene called for Taeyeon and left with the others. " Wait, are you performing with them?"
" Psh, no! They need me to fix their makeup. That's all. I'll see you guys soon, bye." She ran after them, but before she hid in a corner, took her hoodie off, and put her mask on.
After their performance, the other groups were curious as to who was singing behind the mask. Taeyeon hid her mask in her bag as well as her clothes. She ran into the dressing room sweating and panting. Yoongi was sleeping on the makeup chair without makeup.
" They didn't do his, Ugh. I'll do it." She grabbed the makeup and gently put it on to prevent him from waking up. She hummed the tune of the song as she worked on his face.
" There. He should wake up now. But he looks so peaceful."
" I'm already awake. You sounded good out there." Taeyeon's eyes widened and she dropped her stuff.
" Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. Wish me good luck." Yoongi chuckled and left the room. Taeyeon realized that he knew her voice from the singing because she sang his song recently.
" Whatever, it's a one time thing."
Time skip to the competition winning announcements.~
All of the performers were sitting in their seats waiting for the winners to be announced.
" The contestants for the Best Girl Group are Red Girls, Angels, and Queens. The winner is Red Girls!" Everyone cheered and clapped as the group went to accept their award, while Krystal stormed out of the hall.
" The contestants for the Best Boy Group are BTS, EXO, and Prey. The winner is... EXO!" A loud roar of excitement erupted and Taeyeon jumped up and down for them. Yoongi closed his eyes and exhaled sharply. In frustration, he walked briskly out of the hall.
