Chapter 15

Taeyeon had woken up right after sunset. She had been asleep in Jin's room which was still unfamiliar to her. Jin at that time was working on his laptop and hadn't noticed her getting up from the bed. She walked up to him and tapped on his shoulder. He jumped up and gasped.

" My- Taeyeon you scared me!"

" I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you that much." She laughed hard from her unintentional accident.

" Well now that your awake, I would like to tell you about the situation. You are basically in our family now anyway." She nodded and leaned on his table and listened to what he was explaining. " Yoongi is engaged to Krystal, and they are supposed to get married at the end of summer break before college starts. After they get married, you can just tell people who are nosy about living with us, since you will no longer be a minor-

" But I'm not," She interrupted " when I become a senior, I'll be gone. My mom told me so. You don't have to tell anyone." Jin sighed.

" Did your mom never tell you? Oh Taeyeon, I'm so sorry. Your mum and dad are getting divorced." Taeyeon couldn't believe his words. How? When she was leaving, they were all lovey dovey. Were they acting?

" Once you turn 18, you will be out of their care so our mom brought you here to let you live with us. You're are an illegitimate daughter to your parents company. Your mom and Dad fostered and eventually adopted you unofficially when you were a small baby. Things got complicated between them and they split. "

" This doesn't make sense. I'm- but even so don't my parents love me? Don't I get to be with my parents?" She choked back sobs as reality was setting in.

" From what I know, your parents are being reckless. They don't know what to do right now since their relationship is falling apart. Hopefully they will calm down and bring you back into your life." started caressing your back gently and pulled up a stool for you to sit in. You looked at him and started crying.

" Jin, no one wants me. What's the point?" She sobbed in his shoulder and hugged his chest.

" Taeyeon don't think or say that, we want you. You are family now. You understand there is no way that we are all biologically related. We all have similar birthdays and ages. Our parents have died or didn't want us, and now we are a family together."

Taeyeon sobbed harder and hit his chest. " You basically said that I'm not wanted, in a nice way." She thought briefly about what he said about being adopted but forget about it, not caring that they aren't related.

Jin laughed and held her shoulders making her look at him. " How about we go downstairs, get you some ice cream and you can watch a movie with Lilac." She nodded and he smiled.

He gently wrapped a blanket around her body and carried her down the stairs to the living room where she turned the TV on. Lilac jumped onto the couch and laid her head on her thigh. Jungkook and Taehyung had come down as well and before they could yell, Jin pulled them into the kitchen.

" I just had to tell her that her mom and Dad divorced and will not care for her anymore, so please be gentle with her. She is at her breaking point." The nodded and silently walked over to her. They sat down and glanced at her, she smiled and looked back at the TV.

Eventually everyone except Yoongi came downstairs and had sat down in the living room, informed of the situation. The time had passed midnight and everyone went to bed including Jin. Taeyeon had fallen asleep on the couch alone. Downstairs was freezing and her blanket wasn't enough.

Yoongi came downstairs to get some water when he saw her sleeping. He smiled and walked over to her. Taeyeon had her hand on her forehead and her other arm hanging off the bed.

He placed his arms under her body and picked her up, carrying her upstairs. He put her in her bed and remembered he was supposed to sleep here to. He groaned and grabbed a pillow and a small blanket, falling asleep on the floor next to her.
