and she stood by the window
night after night waiting
for a saviour to come
and free her from
this hell of a
home.

and oh what a shame it was
when her saviour turned
out to be the devil
himself.

who locked her up and chained
her to the walls, eliciting joy
from the bloodcurdling
screams she emitted
as the slaps turned
to blows, whips
and burns

alike.

the occupants of her previous home
were not left unscathed for bundles
and hurdles of trouble and problems
descended on all and sundry for
the wrath of a scorned woman
was not one of minority
neither the anger
of unrequited
lovers.

so here comes a tale
from me, to you
one told for eons
just a little different
this time.

for this novice author
loves nothing more
than scribbling
tales on paper

and wishing
them true.
