Previously: But there was something electric about Phillip. Something about his tousled light brown hair and striking blue eyes makes (F/N)'s heart flutter even though she knows she shouldn't trust him. Anne grabs (F/N)'s arm protectively and glares daggers at Phillip, though he seems oblivious to her. "We should get going Mr. Barnum and Mr. Carlyle. Sorry that we interrupted you two." Anne says as she turns around on her heel and pulls (F/N) quickly out of the arena.

(F/N) lays on her bed located in the shabby apartment that the Wheeler siblings share with her. She hears the siblings converse back and forth about the newcomer, Phillip Carlyle. "He is no good Anne. We shouldn't get mixed in with his shenanigans." W.D's deep voice drifts through the thin walls.
"I know that he is no good W.D, but he is obviously attracted to (F/N). How are we going to protect her from him? She is just like a sister to us both." Anne argues back. (F/N) can just imagine the power behind Anne's dark-brown eyes as she defends her. (F/N)'s heart swells with gratitude for her friend. The sibling's voices become more and more muffled as (F/N) starts to drift off into a deep, dream-filled sleep.
After many minutes of bickering with her brother, Anne retreats to the room she shares with (F/N). (F/N) is quietly sleeping on her twin sized bed, a soft smile upon her face. Her (H/C) hair is spread out across her goose-feather pillow and her (F/C) nightgown is wrapped around her flexible body. Seeing (F/N) so peaceful brings a smile to Anne's face. Anne crawls into her bed and lays her head down on her pillow.
A soft groan escapes Anne's lips as she thinks angrily of the man trying to seduce her best friend. 'He is attractive,' Anne silently admits. 'But you can never trust someone like him. He is no good.' With that very thought in her mind, Anne slips into a fitful sleep though she doesn't awake until the sun floods through the window.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(F/N) groans as the bright sun shines in (F/N)'s eyes. Anne is standing by the window with her hands still on the curtain she just opened. "Wake up lazy. We've got to practice our new trick before everyone shows up." Anne tells (F/N) with a rushed look on her face. (F/N) groans again, not wanting to get out of her warm bed.
(F/N) hears Anne leave the room, holler something and come back in. Anne sits down at the foot of (F/N)'s bed, a smirk playing across her lips. All of the sudden, W.D comes in, grabs (F/N) and hoists her over his shoulder.
"Let me down!" Cries (F/N) while laughing hysterically. "Never!" Exclaims W.D as he runs with her into the kitchen. Anne follows quickly behind, laughing as well. W.D sets (F/N) on the cool floor. "Now go on and get dressed. Meet back here in 10 minutes to leave." Anne says, her face more serious. (F/N) nods her head and rushes off to get ready to leave. After 10 minutes, (F/N) comes downstairs dressed in her practice clothing.
"Ready to go?" Anne speaks up, catching the attention of (F/N). "Yeah. Can you pass me a piece of toast W.D?" W.D hands (F/N) a slice and the girls head towards the door. "Be safe girls. I'll be down when rehearsals start up again." W.D says as the girl wrap their coats around themselves. "Will do. Bye!" Anne yells as the girls walk out of the door.
When they reached the building, Anne and (F/N) start to stretch and prepare for practice. "Hey (F/N) can you pass me my wrist wrap?" Anne asks, as (F/N) leans forward from her sitting position, pressing her body onto the hard ground. "Sure." (F/N) says as she stands up to get the wrap from its usual place. She searches around for a minute or so before declaring, "I can't find it Anne. You must of misplaced it." An exasperated sigh comes from across the room, undoubtedly from Anne.
"I'll be back." Anne says as she disappears from (F/N)'s view. (F/N) heads into the arena and climbs up to her raised platform. She does a simple back bend but her hands daringly close to the edge. She slowly raises her legs into a handstand. The only thing keeping her from falling off of the 20ft platform was her steady hands.
She keeps pushing herself to the limit by slowly pushing her legs farther. Eventually, the contortionists legs are at a 90 degree angle with her arms. Taking a deep breath, (F/N) bends her legs back down to the ground. She then stands up, safely away from the 20ft drop.
(F/N) then grabs onto the nearby fabric rope, used specifically by (F/N) during her aerial routines. The loose fabric flutters in the air as (F/N) wraps her left hand around it securely. Holding onto the fabric, (F/N) drops off of the raised platform. Using her upper body strength, (F/N) slowly works her way up the fabric.
Once she is halfway to the top, she leans outward. This change causes the rope to start and revolve widely. (F/N), who is only holding onto the fabric with her hand, feels the rush of air push at her face. While the rope is still revolving around the arena (F/N) wraps the loose material tightly around her two legs. Slowly (F/N) untangles her left hand.
The only thing holding (F/N) up know is her legs which are intertwined with the silky textile. She slides down the fabric seamlessly, stopping suddenly just before the fabric ends. (F/N) then untangles her legs and lands gracefully onto the ground. Safely on the ground, (F/N) takes a deep breath in and smiles. In her opinion, that stunt was flawless. The single spectator appeared to agree because there was a loud applause coming from one of the balconies.
(F/N) quickly raises her head to see who was applauding her performance. It was him, of course. Phillip Carlyle. They both stare at each other for a quick second before Phillip disappears into the seats. A minute later, Phillip is standing next to (F/N). "That was amazing." He says, his eyes gleaming and his smile wide. "Thanks. It was my first time attempting that stunt with the rope." (F/N) replies shyly.
"You know you can trust me Ms. (L/N)." Phillip says randomly. "I am sorry?" (F/N) says, baffled. She wasn't expecting his response. "I said you can trust me. I can see it in your eyes." He repeats. (F/N) stands there speechless, staring in shock at Phillip's confident face. "If you couldn't tell by now, I am attracted to you. Maybe something can happen between us. Let me take you to the theater tonight after the show, just you and I. Please just trust me (F/N)" He reaches out and grabs both of her hands, causing (F/N) to inhale sharply.
Her skin tingles at his touch, as if electricity is running through her veins. 'Back out, refuse! He is no good!' her mind screams but she couldn't help it. Standing up on her tiptoes, she lightly kisses Phillip's cheek. Just as before, tingles surge throughout her body. As she pulls back, she notices the large smile on Phillip's face. "I'll take that as a yes, Ms. (L/N)." A smile grows across (F/N)'s face as well, her (E/C) eyes shinning in delight. "You are correct Mr. Carlyle."
There is something between the two that can only be explained as electric.
A/N: I hope you enjoyed part two of Electric. Depending on the feedback this gets, I may create a part 3 which includes their theater date. I am sorry if the contortionist's act seems a bit unrealistic. I am NOT a professional contortionist so I don't know what they are capable of. Thanks for bearing with me though.
I also want to thank you guys for showing so much support for this book. We passed over 2K views yesterday, which is more than I have ever gotten on a book. Thank you guys again!
