Previously:"You know (F/N), your kisses are electric," Phillip says, as he intertwines their hands and walks her back to her apartment. Only one thought drifts through (F/N)'s head that isn't about Phillip, 'Anne is going to be SO mad. . .'

The morning sun shines onto (F/N)'s face, warming it every so slightly. The light pilfers through her eyelids, leaving her to see a red glare behind her closed eyes. A smile is upon her face as she reminisces on last nights events. The kiss comes to play multiple times in her head. The way her heart was pounding as he leaned in slowly, the way her eyes fluttered shut in anticipation. The press of his soft lips on hers and the swooping feeling she felt when she pulled him closer. The way her skin tingled as he caressed her cheek after the kiss, whilst saying that her kisses were electric. The way their hands melded perfectly together, her thumb drawing back and forth along his skin as he slowly escorted her home. Their in-depth talk about how they ended up in Barnum's circus, their greatest fears, ambitions, their future plans and much more. A blush creeps across (F/N)'s face as she remembers how he said he hopes that she will be apart of his future. The bed creaks with the added weight of another, causing (F/N) to change her focus from the infatuating man to the intruder in her bed.

(F/N)'s eyes quickly open out of curiosity, only to be met with a mop of brown curls and brown eyes hovering above her with both a worried and angry expression.  (F/N) groans and turns on her side, ignoring the look from Anne. "(F/N). . . Where were you last night? I looked everywhere for you: the marketplace, the circus arena, Lettie's house. For all I know, you could've been killed by those protesters." Anne exclaims, fidgeting back and forth causing the bed and causing it to groan in protest from the weight.  (F/N) turns around, still lying down, and faces Anne while trying to decide whether or not to come clean with her about Phillip. Before she could start explaining, Anne looks at (F/N) weirdly and then asks, "Why is your face so red? " (F/N) flushes in embarrassment and pulls up her (F/C) blanket to cover her face. Anne shoots her another puzzled look, unable to comprehend her weird behavior.

(F/N) doesn't say anything, unable to come up with a valid. After Anne realizes that her best friend isn't going to defend herself she speaks up saying, "You know, saying nothing makes you more suspicious. Don't think this is the end of this conversation. Get ready, P.T wants us at the museum early to practice a new routine." She stands up and walks out of the room to her brother but not before she shoots a suspecting look back at (F/N), who is still wrapped in her blankets. (F/N) lets out a large sigh of relief after Anne shuts the door behind her. She then pushes the blankets off of herself and begrudgingly works her way to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

"Back to our conversation earlier, what were you doing out so late last night. I demand an answer this time," Anne says with a harsh tone as she walks with (F/N) along the crowded sidewalk of New York. (F/N) bites the inside of her cheek, planning her next words carefully. "I was out with a friend. I was perfectly safe and you didn't need to worry." (F/N) flashes a smile in the direction of Anne but she isn't convinced. She stares at me for a quick second before shaking her head. "That didn't stop that fact that I was worried. Don't do it again. I don't want you hurt the next time," She responds, her harsh tone softening with each syllable. (F/N) nods guiltily, staring down at her feet and contemplating her next set of words. "I am sorry." She mumbles, looking up to meet Anne's eyes. "I am sorry for running off and scaring you. I also haven't been completely honest with you. I wasn't just with any ordinary friend last night. Phil -" (F/N) stops when she sees that Anne had stopped in her tracks the instant she heard his name.
